I honestly did not understand why Gili Air (and Gilis in general) were mentionned as must-do! Gilis are so overrated. Compared to Bali which is very green, Gili Air is not with a lot of houses packed and making it a bit uncomfortable to pass...More

After Bali & Nusa Penida this island is a real paradise without cars & bikes & crowds of people. Clear amazing ocean, white beaches & relaxing atmosphere. We prolonged our stay as fell in love with it! Highly recommended for visiting!

Love the Gilis, and Gili A is the perfect one to stay on, with the others a $3/20 minute trip away. Where you stay is important - it's super hot so you need a pool, and somewhere to retreat to. You might want to take...More

Lovely little island. We planned to stay here for two nights, but ended up a whole week. And would go again. Lots of good restaurants, ATM no problem and of course: no traffic. Except for the horses.

After visiting all the 3 gili islands, I think gili air has a mixture of the other 2, party for who wants to party and chillout for who wants to chillout. Nice beaches but like the other 2 more suitable for snorkeling, very nice food...More

there are plenty of boats from that harbour, usually around 20k idr these local boats are choppy though... might consider taking a pill for the 10 min ride
