    Certainly worth a look
Very nice looking beach. I only stopped by to take some photos. There are a couple of warungs to buy food and drink. Some reviewers had problems with the kids. I only had two approach me. I said no thank you and both times they then left me alone. I didn't feel it was an ideal swimming beach.

Beatiful beach, not the best for small kids
Beatuiful Beach that didn’t have that much rubbish on it, like other beaches in the are. It gets deep really fast so not the best beach for small kids. Good surf breaks on the right side. Unfortunately there were to many mainly kids selling cheap stuff that did not leave us alone which was really annoying.

    Wonderful Beach
Close with Kuta Beach you can find one of beautiful beach at south area in Lombok. It takes 10 minutes from Kuta Town. Access road is need to fixing. We need to pay ten thousand rupiah for a car and five thousand rupiah for a motorcycle. Wonderful beach and stunning view . Curve of Beach and between to hills. The beach is not so many visitors. This beach more quiet than Tanjung Aan or Kuta Beach. Just one suggestion public toilets need to be fixed as very important support for everyone want to visit this area.

BE AWARE CHILD SLAVERY!!
Small children as young as 8 years old forced to sell bracelets in scorching hot weather. We got surrounded by at least 5 kids when we sat down to relax, and they wouldn’t leave until you raise your voice.
Hope the government resolved this issue and ban this practice. Poor children, and tourists don’t realize when they give children money it goes straight to their parents who are exploiting them. So bad, don’t come here, water is murky also, jellyfish, trash on the beach, not worth the hustle.

Beautiful beach, but no toilets and very limited options to buy any refreshment - maximum what you can buy is some drinks, coconut, pineapple, biscuits and instant soup.

What is worst thing though is the stealing. It seems to be happening quite often - even during RAMADAN. We had our bag with camera in it stolen today. It was definitely locals and what is even worse is that it was kids (3 kids, each around 10 years old)! They even stole cutlery, toilet paper and my fiancée's shorts.

Either do not take any valuables with you or be very very careful or avoid this beach completely.

"Funny story" to the end - we went to report the theft to POLISI in Kuta and the i....s even had the guts to ask for a bribe to write a police report - they wanted 400 000 IDR - unbelievable!

Went to Mawun beach in the end of March 2015.
The beach is amazing! I can say it's the most beautiful beach I've been to so far.. View of the lagoon in between two hills, filled with transparent clear blue water.. Very nice place to go when in Lombok!.
But the downside of being there - we decided to trust our bag (with phones and some cash) to local people selling coconuts, beer and snacks on the beach. As we thought it would be better than leaving the bag unattended on the beach when we go dip in the water.. And we bought coconut from them, they seemed friendly and nice people.. but later we realized 100k rupiah is missing from the bag.. Our trust in those village people was ruined. Understandable, they are poor and needy, but if someone shows them trust, still they break it..
Left with bittersweet feeling - such a nice piece of nature, but local people's behavior just ruined the idyll..

The place is like a natural lagoon since it is situated in a horse shoe shaped bay. The sand is white while the beach is a green tosca due to the seaweed underneath. The wave crashed way far from the shoreline and leave a gentle wave on shore. The water is very calm and clear. I have been here 3 times and definitely will come back again.
The beach is still quite and not so many people come yet compare to Kuta Lombok beach nearby. The beach is about 15-20 minutes away from Kuta Beach which is considered the main area in South Lombok and the access road is currently smoothly paved road.
You can spend the whole day here doing nothing and nobody will bother you. There is two small warung selling decent food, drink and young coconut. The beach make beaches in Bali is a lame hehehehehe
A must visit in Lombok.

My friends and I visited Lombok in November and this was our absolute favourite beach. We spent a whole day here: the water is clear and calm and the views are beautiful. The beach is perfectly clean and we practically had it to ourselves. There was an option to purchase simple snacks and drinks from a vendor and some very basic toilet facilities. If you plan on staying for more than a few hours I'd recommend bringing water.

One of the most beautiful beach in Lombok. Breathtaking scenery along the ride from Kuta to Mawun Beach. Its better to be catched by motorbike due to not-to-wide yet easy road. If you craving for not-so-crowded beach, Mawun Beach is the perfect choice.

(-) poor wash room facility.
(-) double parking fee.

Once of the nicer beaches in South Lombok that is not so packed with people.
On a good sunny day, the beach looks outstanding if there is no rubbish washed up with the tide. The typical beach with annoying hawking of pineapples, beer and coconuts. If you get there with your scooter you have to pay IDR10,000 for the entry and if you get under any of the umbrellas it is about IDR35,000 for an hour for 2 deck chairs. I trust the prices are inconsistent. Also a small restaurant on this beach. Drinks are about IDR150,000. The steep elevation of the beach with the surf makes this beach pretty dangerous as you can be sucked out and thrown back in on the beach if you are not a strong swimmer. Also take note that once you hit the waters edge you will find the water over your head already so weak swimmers beware as you will find it hard to overcome the forces of nature.

The beach itself is really nice, not to much garbage around. BUT then you have the local vultures! They (5-6 of them) attacked us just as we put down our bag. They were selling pineapple, coconuts, beer and sarongs... They came by every 3-5min to ask if we wanted something, even though we clearly said no every time. At one point they started to scream right behind our heads when a "big" wave came in. It was clearly their idea of fun, as they laughed when they saw us jumping of our sarongs. After this we moved far far to the other side of the beach. This kept them away for 20 min before they came all the way over to ask again if we wanted something. When I asked "why do you think we moved over here?" He just laughed and walked away...
We came here to have a relaxing day on the beach, but that didn't happen! Worst day I ever had on a beach. Never ever going back!
Many of the other beaches we drove past looked empty and better for a nice day on the beach. We went to Mawun because we heard good things about it.

Don't make the same mistake!
