It was a privilege to stay with Edy and his family for a few days in the lovely Tereng Wilis cottages. We were welcomed with such generous hospitality and totally loved our stay. Edy went out of his way to look after us and show us many of the local sights, and we enjoyed three delicious home-cooked meals every day - which was a great way to try Indonesian cuisine. We are vegetarian and that was no problem at all. Our cottage was modest but comfortable with a comfy bed, mosquito net and private bathroom and a little terrace where we could drink tea and enjoy the beautiful views! Edy kindly arranged transport for us from and to the port which made the whole experience very easy. We’ll never forget our time surrounded by lush greenery and with the warmest of people, thank you Edy. We can’t recommend highly enough!

Looking for a place to stay close to the Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu we found Eddy's lovely place far away from other tourists and in the middle of the nature: rice fields and waterfalls. We stayed just one night, but we met his family. Eddy's uncle and brother showed us around and his mother prepared one of the best meals we have had in Indonesia. A perfect place to get away from touristic places and to discover real Lombok.

It was everything I wanted and more! Stunning rice field views from your balcony, peace and tranquillity, a beautiful family that really look after you and a cute little bungalow. It was beautiful and I can't wait to come back one day! Thank you Edy and family!!

We arrived at Edy's families homestay hoping to have an authentic experience in the village. Edy, his family and friends exceeded what we could have ever hoped for. The bungalows are located in the middle of beautiful, green rice fields. Early on the morning you can see Mt. Rinjani from the rice field. Edy and his friends were so kind and helpful. They took us to special places in the village on their motorbikes. We saw the way of life in the village. We learned how to make Lombok coffee and to make a bamboo table! We did a small English lesson for the village school, which was unforgettable. His mom and sister made amazing Sasak meals for us! On our last night we had a bonfire under the light of the full moon! Totally recommend this place if you are looking for a real experience in Lombok!

I had the most amazing time over my three days staying with Edy and his family! It is such an authentic way of seeing real Lombok life, far from the madding tourist crowds. I didn't see a single other westerner or tourist and felt immersed in jungle/village life. I was made to feel like part of the family, eating the most amazing Indonesian food cooked by Edy's mother and sister. Edy became a friend during my stay and could not have been kinder and more welcoming to me, nothing was too much trouble. The place is beautiful and I had my own bungalow overlooking the peaceful rice paddies - the views and nature are honestly breathtaking. During my time there we visited two local schools where I helped with English teaching, explored the local area on scooter and took a walk to a local waterfall. I will never forget the nights I spent with Edy and his friends and family chatting, drinking Lombok tea and listening to reggae! Please if you are considering going, just go - it has been a highlight of my trip and I'm so glad I did it. I'll be seeing you again Edy!
