I can highly recommend Nalua if you are looking for a relaxed vibe, appreciate a small group of people, and if you want to do one surf session per day. SURF I stayed at Nalua for 10 days and had some of the best surf sessions ever. Mido and Takim (the surf instructors) did an amazing job, guiding us to the best spots, keeping us safe in the water and giving us the right tips to enhance our surf skills. STAFF & ACTIVITIES The staff was very friendly and always there to help. The additional activities like yoga, beach trips or watching the sunset were nice, and we could always change the program, if we felt like doing something different, as a group. Zen (the driver) was always ready to drive us. ROOMS & LOCATION The rooms are clean and stylish with AC. As a solo traveler I enjoyed having my own room. The breakfast was very nice, although breakfast time didn‘t always match with our surfing time. For light sleepers: Be aware that Nalua is located at the main street and there is a mosque nearby. I appreciated the location a lot, since I don‘t ride scooter. Good restaurants, pools to hang out, bars, shops and spas are all within walking distance.

Cannot recommend Nalua enough! I was looking for a good surf camp for weeks, then stumbled across Nalua, and that ended up being one of the highlights of my year. The crew are amazing, they really look after you. The community that s developed within the week is really awesome, the chill space on the roof is really special, and everything is really close. Also, the boys that take you out make sure you catch some great waves, they are amazing in an out of the water. Unforgettable.

This is a great place to stay! Accommodation is well thought out: it’s central in Kuta with great access to bars, restaurants, supermarkets. Everything you need (even non-surfers) is there. The team looked after us really well. As a group with different abilities, they made sure we had a choice of spots each day. It was no problem to go to different breaks, and Mido and Takim know the tides so well we had good waves each day. There’s a range of boards and no problem to change what you take. Mido and Takim super enthusiastic in the water and very keen to help you progress in your surfing. They also rip when they get their own waves!! The food was good too - the BBQ at the end of the week was a highlight. Ben’s pancakes meant no need to find a cafe each morning . Fantastic also to have a fridge for cold drinks so there’s always something there after a surf. It’s a top surf camp. Highly recommended!

Nalua was the highlight of my Indo trip this July. I went for a week with my friend and we had such an amazing time. The staff are so lovely and welcoming. The rooms are simple but clean and the beds very comfortable. Air con is cripsy cold. The surf instructors were so knowledgable, patient and a lot of fun. I caught my best waves ever that week. We were lucky enough to have such a beautiful bunch of people on the camp for the week and everyone (guests and staff) all got on so well. We had many dinners and sunsets. The photo analyis was really interesting and definitely helped me to progress throught the week. The staff were able to organise our arrival and helped with our onwards travel. I would suggest getting the whole package - accommodation and coaching. It seemed a bit of mess around to organise the surfing yourself. I found it to be good value for money. Could not recommend Nalua highly enough. I will be back for sure.

My time at the camp was a blast! Came as a complete beginner and now able to catch some serious waves. Takim, Mido and Tam are the best coaches ever! On the one hand they taught me the basics of surfing and on the other hand they became real friends! The camp is perfectly located in Kuta Lombok. See you guys in the rain season🤙🏽
