We were staying at Nihiwatu Resort and I requested if they could drive us to a beach where the water was calm enough for me to swim! Marosi beach turn out to be a perfect beach for it! My butler prepared everything for us to spend the perfect morning away from the rest of the world!!!!

Very remote area with very friendly and curious locals. Learn Bahasa to comunicate. Good surfing, Good snorkling, Good spearfishing. Not many white folks around which is awesome when you get the beach to yourself.

This is a beach from luxury travel catalogues. Except of the fact that there are no people here! Beautiful! If you are lucky, there might be a gang of local boys selling fresh coconut (for $1), otherwise, it's all yours! :)

It is an open ocean of Indonesian or Indian Ocean facing far away to australia.
Great for surfing but dangerous for swimming

Lovely place not a lot of shade but gorgeous safe swimming
Most of the land here seems to have been purchased by a developer
Will be interesting to see how it goes over the next few years

We went to many beaches in Sumba, and this is one of my favourite. The sand is very smooth, the water is calm and very peaceful. From the local kids we bought coconuts - really refreshing.

Good strip of sand, in pristine condition. Swimming possible only in the stratch of see between the island and the beach, at the end of the beach. Dead coral and dead sponges on the beach. A few tree 3o meters inside. No facilities, some time s young boys come to offer coconuts.

A beautiful white sand beach, crystal clear blue water with epic waves. Great snorkeling, spearfishing and swimming too. On the western part of the beach, right in front of a new resort called "The Sanubari", which will be opening soon, you'll find a perfect left-hand wave where I had one of my best surf sessions ever with no one but me and my friend in the water! It is a very special and untouched beach, make sure you stay until sunset, its magical!

Beautiful white sandy beach facing Indian Ocean. Just nature no added constructions here. Easy access, not far from Waikabubak - the nearest town
