This Shrine is a miraculous one where the spring water comes out from the ground under our Mother of Velangkanni statue. It had been proven by authorities. You can go to the Google and find out more and or visit the place to witness yourself. Thousands of visitors from all walks of life from all over the world throng together everyday. This is one of 10 tourist attraction of Indonesia. We stayed for a week and received many blessings. Thanks to Rev. Fr. James for his great hospitality and blessings. Father just celebrated his 84th birthday. 50 years service in Indonesia and Golden Priestly celebration. May God bless all those who taking care of this Shrine, Sr. Joeanne, Eviani, Karisma, Thangesh and many others. We enjoyed our stay and will return next year.

If the name is hard to remember, you can ask locals for “Gereja India” in Indonesian, or the Indian Church. The church is different than ones I’ve seen, it’s beautiful and unique.
To visit, you should wear long skirts or pants, and not to wear anything revealing.

No only place to pray, but also can be used a tourist attraction together family and friends. Because the build is luxury and very fascinating with architecture nuanced India ie similar to the temple of India. This place can visit everyone, without exception and free of any.

I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to visit this awesome church in Medan on 21 May 2014 and the honor of a chance meeting with the man responsible for building this Church, Pastor James.
Pastor James gave me a running commentary of the vision he had to build this house of God right up to the meaningful colors used for the Church. As I humbly entered this house of God and knelt in prayer, I could feel the aura, the peace and the tranquility. God is definitely present here!
When in Medan, Sumatra, Indonesia, Catholics, Christians even non-Christians should pay a visit to this Church.

From the outside of the church, it looks like a indian temple but it is actualy a catholic church. On the side of the wall, it painted what God had created in the first 7 days. There are also holywater at the side that you can collect and drink them. This is definitely a place worth visiting.

We have known Pastor James for more than 10 years and whenever we are in Medan, will attempt to go and visit the church and meet Pastor James, if he is available.
Once I saw him bless a car. He always spent time to speak to the public and we are comforted by him.
We go to lick a candle after prayer and also to collect some bottles of holy water for blessing and bring back to Singapore.
We will write a petition to ask for blessing and help in our daily life.
Please feel free to come and view the historical gallery and buy some sovenirs for remembrance.

People are friendly and the temple is full of spirit. Anyone can visit this place even non-Catholics. All religion are welcome. This was my second trip after a year. The place is so serene with wonderful artifacts and structure of the temple. A must visit for sure. There is a gift shop just opposite this temple which gives you wide choices of holy items.

It was nice to know that there is an Indian Catholic Church in Medan. I think it is the only one in Indonesia to have this kind of design for a church. They also put banners in Indonesia and English to describe miracles that happened during building this place. They also has miraculous water spring that originated from the bottom of Holy Maria's statue, and they provide bottles so you can take the water.

Our family & frens visited this shrine 4 times. It is amazing to witness and experience the spring water coming from the btottom of our Lady's statue...non-stop. People from all over the world visited and experienced many healings.
The architecture is most fabulous dipicting the culture , custom & of Muslims, Hindus, Buddhist & Christians.
There are rooms for staying with just some donation. The Priest responsible for this wonder is Fr. James Bharataputra.
You must esperience this with you familis & frens. God bless us all.

We are going to visit this church in November 2015 and attend mass there over the weekend. We would like to know the mass timing on Saturday and Sunday.
Written May 24, 2015
The Mass is available on Saturday morning and saturday evening, and I was told that there is no mass on Sunday as the church is open for public viewing as tourist attractions.
Please contact Father James at the church.
