It's basically a statue of a Flying Jesus, to be admired from the distance... Nothing too exceptional, but worth a visit once there. Shame one cannot go to the base of it.

Located in a residential area just in the outskirts of Manado, this statue looks like that it is floating in the air. As the majority of the population of Manado are Christians, this statue symbolizes Christ's blessing to them.

The Christ Blessing is a wonderful statue located on a high land in a new real estate. But it's pity it can not be visited as a tour destination since it is surrounded by some private houses. But you can take picture from a hill across the statue

We took a taxi to the statue and alighted at a distance as we wanted to view the statue from a distance.
It was a good view and we thought we’d see if there’s anything else of interest near the foot of the statue such as its history, construction timeline etc. When we got to the main parking entrance, we were asked to pay a fee for photographs. I knew that I wasn’t going to take photographs because we were too close to the statue, but then this quickly became an administrative and security fee. Now, we didn’t see any signs saying that there was a fee to enter. Not wanting to spoil our experience, we paid this and continued. Later, as we were exiting, we saw a number of vehicles entering, but none of them had stopped to pay. If there’s an actual fee that everyone has to pay to enter, we’re happy to pay it. But if there isn’t, one wonders......
As for the statue, it does look as imposing as one might imagine, and if the fee went towards the upkeep of the statue and the path leading to it, it’d be great. Note that while there’s a number of steps up to the foot of the statue, it is still walkable.

Went here to see the statue, since it is so popular. Our tour driver brought us to the area across the statue. We stopped by the street to take some pictures with the statue as the background. There was a bit of a queue for taking pictures. Indeed, the statue looks awesome. No wonder it is so popular. Our driver also brought us to the exact location of the statue. However, since it is very big, looking at it from a distance is better.

To see the statue, you could go into the housing area, (city land)
There is a spot to take picture, but only a small area,
i did not found anything else, and some toursit just stop for a minute, take picture and ride again.
Not so special i guess

We love this place in fact we live here at the back of the monument for 6 months a year. But if you are visiting the area is called royal Highland and is residential so security is tight. The monument is huge and the views are spectacular both to the front over citraland and manado and to the rear with views of the rain forest down to the valley below and mount klabat an extinct volcano if it is not covered by cloud which it often is. Also I think you have to pay a small amount to take photographs. There is no food available here but there is a bakery van parked near to citraland office and cafes on the main road at the top. There is a stairway from near the base of the monument which depicts christ carrying the cross up the hill to be crucified so you may want to come up that way. It is though quite a climb. If you are a tourist in manado it is worth coming here. The reason I only gave it three stars is because it is not very commercialised here from a tourist point of view and because of the restrictions here.

definitely one the icons of Manado. the statue sits on a hill in the upper scale residential area of Citraland. the best spot to take a picture of this statue is from the hill opposite to the statue.
