I am not sure what other facilities are found in this private beach a piece of reclaimed land, I presume, but my planned short stint to watch the sunset with a car load of family members was quickly aborted at the resort's gate. The rate to enter the resort I gather rather were exorbitant; IDR10,000 per head including the cab driver. Aside, the additional charge of IDR10,000 for the car to enter. Forget about the snobbish guards and the personnel manning the counter. Not recommended at all, and better to go elsewhere to watch the sunset.

Need for arrangement and addition of facilities. Pay more attention to the cleaning sector and the trees around the coast are added so that it doesn't seem hot and dry.

This is not a beach club ya! 😂
Just like the most beach concepts in Makassar, Akkarena just like a place where you can spent the time with family, enjoying sunset, drink juice, picnic and swimming.

But what’s makes this place different from another beach in Makassar because this place more private I guess.

This is a good place for families and friends to go and watch the sunset and enjoy the cooler evening weather. There is food available at small restaurants on site.

Black smooth sand, weather is hot... but a wonderful place to chill out. Spend about 2 hours for games, while waiting for sunset. Not very crowded. Got to pay for the “bamboo hut” if u want to chill there. 100,000 rp for 4 hours. Super not worth it. Not sure who will rent it?

We've been going to the beach for a few years, and it used to be great, but there's a lot of construction work going on at the moment which has made the water really dirty. You can't swim in it anymore. And even if you want to, it's FULL of jellyfish. It's also getting more and more dirty. The place is run-down and needsa face-lift. There are much nicer beaches. Or if you've got the money, head over to Salmalona Island. Definitely preferable.

This is one of the closest beach in Makassar, other than the super busy Losari Beach. Akkarena has its own charm, with the black sand and the quiteness. There is a cost to enter this beach. And unfortunately, cause its so not-busy, the facility in this beach is just ordinary. The food stall serve the ordinary-food (not too delicious).

You can not find any clean beach in Makassar that garbage free except Akkarena. Enjoy sunny afternoon and wait for sunset, access is close from Losari and almost traffic free also.
