This island great for clear water, for its view. But you have to know that it was an empty island. Expect nothing here.. You have to bring your own food and drinks here..

It is an uninhabited island ~30-40min from Makassar by boat. You can rent one for the entire day (Rp500-750K). It amazed me where you have crystal clear water so closed to a major port like Makassar. Most of the corals are concentrated about 100m, on the northwest side of the island. Ask the boat to take you close to the edge of the cliff where the water was only 3m deep and you will be surrounded by hundreds of colorful fishes. No scuba dive needed. Happy snorkeling!

It is definitely worth visiting. A crystal clear water around the island makes it very easy to snorkel or swim. There is some colourful fish in the water. Unfortunately, there is a lot of rubbish on the island and in the water. It's a real pity...We went there on Monday so the island was almost entirely our private island. I was told it can be packed on weekends.
