We did the trip from Singapore to Batam. Ferry bookings and pick up arrangements were made prior to that through the very helpful Ms Fitri Khanifah from Sukajadi. It is a hassle free arrangments with quick fast track immigration clearance. Once you drop off your golf bag at SG, the next time you see it is in the buggy at the course. The drivers are courteous and helpful. All the staff serve with a smile. I need to give special mention to Ms Fitri for being so very helpful and attentive and making our trip hassle free. The course is in great shape with lovely caddies. Strongly recommended.

Lost count of the times I have had the pleasure of playing here. Never disappoints- well maintained, beautiful vistas and the Raddi on site. The booking process is really efficient and orange is too much trouble for Fitri and the team- club house is sound- food is good and drink is cheap. All of the staff are exceptional and friendly. Caddies are great- sound knowledge if the course (and expected) and save me at least four shots per round - if listened to them in the greens I would be a single figure handicapper!!!😂 Great place to go for golf and weekend away. Highly recommended.

The course is quite central so quite easy to get to. The caddies were fine. The 3-stars was for the greens that were patchy and had bits without grass, which made putting difficult. The fairways and bunkers were ok. There is enough water to be able to lose a few balls! For the cost, the feeling in our group was that it was not worth it.

Golfing in Indonesia is a dream with Fitri and her team! They are professional, friendly and always ready to answer our every question. Sukardi course is always well-maintained and the process of travel there from Singapore is streamlined… With one call the team arranges everything.. ferry, transport, golf. I am so glad I took a chance on the year-long membership. It has been a delight.!

Over the course of the past few weeks I have been able to play on 3 Batam Golf Courses (Padang Sukajadi, Batam Hills and Tering Bay) and experience their respective packages for Singapore based Golfers. My review:
A. Condition of course:
1. Padang Sukajadi (good drainage, even if it rains course is playable), fairways are great and the greens well maintained)
2. Tering Bay - excellent drainage, despite continuous rains the course was well playable, fairways ok, greens in good playing condition
3. Batam Hills - poor drainage, despite no rain in the past 2 days and the sun being out for most of the morning many soggy patches. 2 greens were completely sanded, which left a less than positive impression
B. Condition of Facilities
1. & 2. Draw between Padang Sukajadi & Batam Hills: Padang Sukajadi has fairly new, modern and pleasant facilities, but they lack that special something - the architecture is a bit boring. And unfortunately their food offering is taste-wise somewhat weak - actually the weakest among these courses and the service in the restaurant is also only so so. Batam Hills has a very nice Club House, makes great use of the setting and the food tastes great and service is consistently good. But it is dated and needs some renovation work.
3. Tering Bay - Loved it 10 years ago.... and basically it has not changed since then: Nice architecture and ok food (great service though..), but it needs a major overhaul and this takes it a notch behind the other two clubs
C. Ease and quality of booking and overall arrangement
1. Padang Sukajadi: Nobody beats Ibu Fitri in this respect: Friendly, easy, quick and reliable - what else do I need to say. Also their Ferry Operator (Majestic) is by far better that Batam Fast and all the ground handlers (Passport and Bagage) have always delivered very well.
2. & 3. Draw between Batam Hills and Tering Bay. Booking process is easy, but not as easy as Padang Sukajadi (e-mail vs WhatsApp). Ferry in both cases is via Batam Fast - in the case of Tering Bay the Nongsa Route (from Tanah Merah) has the disadvantage that also on Weekdays it is full with uncles and aunties going for gambling - but it is faster and the land transport is shorter - so I’ll give it a draw. My experience with Batam Fast (on both routes) has been quite negative compared to Majestic: older boats and it always seems to take much longer to get the golf bags returned when travelling on Batam Fast than when travelling on Majestic.
D. Overall
1. Padang Sukajadi: Although the Course still has to develop in terms of size of trees and some work needs to done to get their F&B to the standard of the other clubs, they win my overall ranking due to the maintenance, quality of the greens and the brilliant booking and transport arrangements.
2. Batam Hills: Despite the soggy patches of the course, this is a very solid venue and in the dryer spells certainly a very good course. Downside is that when it rains it becomes unpleasant to play. Some upgrading of the facilities would be welcome.
3. Tering Bay: Good course layout with good drainage. Major work to upgrade facilities required, all looks very tired. But the staff are great - had a great caddie and in the restaurant they took exceptionally good care of me. Some other Ferry arrangement would also be welcome as sitting among the auntie/uncle gamblers is not my idea of a great transport to a Golf venue.
Incidentally the cost of the package coincides with the ranking. While minimal (abt. SGD 15 between cheapest and priciest) TB has the best price (and the only package that includes a basic lunch) followed by Batam Hills.

This course is not for those without balls. There are plenty of opportunities to lose them in water and trees. The fairways are in reasonable condition. The greens are fast but true and also decent. Trees add to the complexity even on some simple looking holes. A few slopy lies and few hills make it a fair challenge for the higher handicappers.
The caddies seem to have limited but adequate English skills but could be more assertive at times.
The buggy was in decent condition.
The locker room was adequate and clean.

I have played a few times at Sukajadi and love the course. Recently I played a couple of rounds with my 10 year old twins. I asked Mbak Fitri, the Assistant Marketing Manager, to arrange caddys who were good with children. She did not let me down. The caddys were wonderful, making for such and enjoyable time.
Traveling to and from Singapore was flawless. Mbak Fitri did an incredible job. Even arranged our hotel stay at the nearby Radisson.
All the staffs were very friendly and courteous.
Even though the course is flatter than most at Batam, it can be challenging and is certainly lots of fun. The course is well maintained and not water logged.
Looking forward to my next return.

Played on Sunday 28.4 and course have a very good layout and fun to play. Not to difficult. Could have better maintenance as all of Batams golf courses, but nice. Caddies are the best in Batam in my opinion, there skills is well above average. Easy check in and very good change rooms. A must to play if in Batam

Hi, we (3 people) will stay at Radisson Gold & Convention Center at Monday 11 Sep and plan to 18hole game.
So, I have some questions of your golf course.
1. Is it possible to play 18hole play at morning time at Monday 11 Sep? and how can I book the game?
2. How much is cost for 3 people (green fee, caddy fee)
3. Do you have golf club rental service and how much?
I'm looking for your kindly response.
Thanks.
