Going to Semarang certainly won't be worth it if you don't visit Gereja Belenduk, which means Church in a form of dome so it looks similar to mosque architecture. It's the first historical building listed by the local government and certainly one of the most prominent. It lies beside a modest park where you can hang out with your friends... More

Quite well maintenance building and still active use as church but not free access. I was visiting there 3 times but only one time was successful to get in after having some dealing with security guy. One of most beautiful Dutch colonial building in Semarang you must see

I just found out that this church is one of Semarang's landmark and signature. Next to the church there ia a park where you can chill out or strolling arround if you bring kids.

With those plenty photo spot for old buildings on surrounding area, afternoon around 5Pm will be great with the light and hot wheather. But if you would like to get best shot for Gereja Blendug, then do it at midnight when no more traffic around. Or you can do it with slow frame capture.
