The mosque is the pride of the citizens of Malang City. Here we can worship five times a day in prayer and Friday prayers freely, with ample mosque space. Its strategic location makes this mosque also a destination for tourists who happen to be visiting around the town square of Malang. #batulocalguides #letsguide

Located in the heart of Malang city, lies in front of Alun-alun Malang, it is one of biggest mosque in the city. Many muslims go here to pray 5 times a day. It is also located around 100 m away of big church, symbol of tolerant between people here.

Strategically located next to malang city square, the architecture is great and has a charming feeling. Make sure to pay a visit or take a photo! An icon for sure!

It's nice to see the main mosque in the center of Malang city. The mosque have two floors, the main room for praying is on the second floor. There's a wudlu (ablution) section in the first floor, and the section is quite big. Praying inside the imam (leader of salah) and Malang people is really a good experience.
The architecture is good, Arabic architecture style. The mosque lights are on at night, and it makes the mosque looks more beautiful :) A glimmer of light at night.

This was supposed to be one of the main attractions in Malang, but unfortunately because we aren't moslem we weren't allowed to enter. From the outside, though, it seemed to be a very interesting mosqute with unique architecture.

Surprised, really really unexpected place i found on malang city,
The story is begun,
On saturday noon mar 24th, i made appoinment with my friends goes to turen malang for my friend's wedding, and decided how we start from Surabaya on evening, but surely we will stay in malang city on late night then goes to malang on 25th morning,
I told to my friends how we did book hotel first for relax and rest and waiting for tomorrow morning to continuosly the journey.
I choosen hotel nearest alun alun merdeka malang, it's about 300m far.
Yes...we arrived on hotel 00.02 am maret 25 th, due really traffic jam as long as journey from surabaya to malang, and hurry for rest.
On early morning we heard sound of tilawatil qur'an a loud from mosque output speaker and i woke up for goes to mosque follow by sounds.
When i step of on terrace, i'm really in doubt can't describe in front of my face i saw big building with great architecture,
Walking slow down to pick up wudhu place
And go to upstairs to main praying room,...hhmmmm really really big mosque with mix atmosphere architecture influences from arabic,europe and java culture

It is a Great Mosque as its name. It has many facilities as well to support people in praying. In the pandemic condition, health control is applied here.
