The waterfall is beautiful, lots of interesting photo spots. And not only that, there's a playground, too, so after the photos in the waterfall, me and my friends play in the playground. There's a lot of twists until there's a hammock for sleeping. It was a fun Trips and a great memories.
Other than that, to get to the waterfall, we need to walk on a pretty smooth and rather steep road. But fortunately it's not that far from entering the tourist spot to the waterfall being. Besides, the heavy waterfall also causes local rain that makes us all wet. So don't forget to bring a replacement!

Waterfall with a fairly long path, with a travel time of about half an hour of leisurely stroll. Tickets are quite cheap. Don't forget to wear comfortable sandals / shoes for walking. Arriving at the location, all tiredness paid off with a view of a magnificent waterfall.

When i drove on my scooter towards Coban pelangi, I really got suprised about the tourism attractions on my way there. After I left from Malang city I passed Wendit waterpark, after a few miles I saw a beautifull temple called Candi Jago on my left hand, and a few miles later Candi Kidal. When I got off of the main roads i drove up the mountain towards Coban pelangi, before I arrived I fell in love AGAIN with the beautiful javanese mountain scenery.

This tourist destination seems not too popular compare to another waterfall at Malang, Coban Rondo. However, it is more interesting as you need to walk down the hill for about one km to reach the waterfall. The waterfall itself is good, hiden behind a hill. Nice to take a picture. If you tired going up, you can ride a horse.
Overall I love this waterfall as it is not too many tourist come.

it took about 1 hour driving heading to northest of Malang City or proximately about 32 km. We could find this water fall. local people call it Coban Pelangi, Rainbow Waterfall. they named like that, because during bright sunny day (on 10 am - 2 pm). the spark of water from waterfall could trigger rainbow nearby the water fall.
Coban Pelangi located on Glubuk klakah village on Tumpang district. It run by Perhutani (goverment institusion related with forest), because the Coban Pelagi leis on the bottom of cliff, which surrond by forest. So we should go down the valley to reach the waterfall.
Soon when we get there, we could feel cold and fresh, also hearing drobing water from the top. Coban Pelangi has 110 meter from the top till the bottom, quite high and big enough.
take your time playing there, no rush to came back home. Cos you will be catch a breath walking though the stairs. No kidding. because it lies on 1.299 meter above sea level, and it high enough to lowering oxegen on our lungs. But no need to worry, you could stop by buying some drink or snack (baking corn, bread, coke and others) over there. there are shop running by local peoples. And if you need to pee and others the toilets also available.
The entry ticket is reason able. during long weekend is about Rp 7500/person.
If you would like to go there by public. You could go to Arjosari Bus Station - then take public transport to "Tumpang". from Tumpang, you change another public transport to "Gubuk Klakah Village". And then take a walk about 10 minute to waterfall. it cost around Rp 20.000 all.
Enjoy yOur-trips

This waterfall is one of the most beautiful ones I’ve seen! It takes about 20-30min to walk down to from the road, has toilets and snacks on the way. The waterfall had a beautiful single stream falling from above us, and water sprinkles sparkled all around us. It isn’t very big, but it has a very cosy setting and peaceful surrounding.

Just one and a half hour driver from Malang City, this waterfall is worth it to visit. The environment is so good and brings freshness. You need to walk down about 1.5 km from the gate to get to the waterfall...

The waterfall is very beautiful as well the way to it. If you are lucky you can listen to some guys who are playing very positive music on the way to the waterfall. The entrance is 6 000, there are a lot of places that sell snacks and drinks.

This is a Nice spot for a break during the 3 hour travel from Malang to Bromo. You can watch the waterfall from the Hill or walk 15 minutes downstairs to see the fall nearby. Although you pay a small entrance fee at the gate, you pay an additional fee to watch the fall from the Hill, which feels a bit like a rip off.
