Just an average city square, typical of city square in Central Java. Magelang is relatively a clean city but during peak season it is busier and dirtier.

This place is flocked by mainly Indian and European tourists. The huge statue of the Indonesian Lion-king, the museum and the garden are the most attractive spots of this destination. I happened to meet a lot of strangers and interacted with them while resting on the lush-green grass

It's a nice place to hang out with friends actually, but going alone was not disappointing. There's a food court that offers you so many local foods. Nice and warm weather, not so hot, not so cold. The place is clean and the city was great. If you travel with cars, be really careful and don't forget your documents. Because the police here often doing some random check. Give it a visit when you're around.

The iconic water tower at the Magelang City Square was build by the Dutch and this water tower is protected as a historic building of Magelang. On the East side of the square you will find a row of local delicatessen restaurants.

This is a city square in Magelang. There is a statue of a Javanese prince, Diponegoro riding a horse. During weekends locals gather here to exercise in the mornings and evenings.

This place is the heart of Magelang, had the opportunity to look around on Sunday Morning. Not to crowded but lots of people exercising and relaxing to enjoy the morning spirit. This city seems quite, not too busy and noisy.

Angkringan is an typical street food in Central Java and Jogjakarta. Nasi kucing and wedang jahe are the highlight. Nasi Kucing is a package rice, slice of fish/egg, orek tempe and sambal. Wedang jahe is a ginger tea, sometimes add with condense. They are very cheap and unique culinary which you can get in the Magelang City Square. I met with my old friends, and we spend the time till late. Glasses tee, ginger and coffee are spread around us.
