Quite a short hike to reach the location, about 200 meters from the entry gate. You need to went through a little river & rocky to achieve the waterfall (curug). Watch out for the heavy current, especially in rainy season. You could swim or have a quick dip at the waterfall if you want too & if its not too crowded.
Location is very nice, neat & not too many hawkers, they manage the place quite good. Even though you could still find trash at some places, too bad. There are already concrete stairs with handles to ease your hike to the place & also some resting areas/places. You even could have a quick picnic there, just bring your mat & foods, but please be aware of the monkeys.
If you travel with kids, I would recommend you to go straight to the 2nd waterfall. The route are easier & scene should be the same.
Recommendations : use sandals, bring your umbrella/jacket/rain coat incase its raining. Go early in the morning to avoid crowds, we were there from 8 to 11 AM. Watch out for monkeys they tend to take visitors belongings. Also please enjoy the scenery by supporting the locals, having a cup of black coffee & roasted corns while having small talks with the locals will surely brighten up your day.

The trip from Bogor to Nangka Waterfall was an adventure in itself. The weather can be very changeable, so be prepared for heat and rain. There are easy paths to the waterfall and the facilities seem to have been recently upgraded. Friendly locals selling food and drink can be found along the way and there are lots of monkeys to keep you entertained if you need to wait while you shelter from the rain. Like anywhere, my trip was made much more enjoyable by having a lovely guide.

Took me around 40 mins from bogor BTM mall to get to this place.
First of all to be clear regarding other review of Bunder Waterfalls.
Nangka and Bunder are different. Nothing to do with each other. Except that both have waterfall (waterfall = air terjun) .Nangka has several waterfalls (small ones and one bigger). Bunder should be around 20 min drive farther away and you have to follow the main road again. Did not go to Bunder. According to the parc guy both are good but different. IIRC bunder is around 6-7 waterfalls. Slightly higher entrance fee then Nangka. Not sure if this information is reliable.
Nangka water fall is when you turn left at the Highland Park Resort At the main road. Then follow the road for 500m-1Km. You can not miss it. The road is easy and for indonesian standards well maintained and not steep at all. Twice entrance fee in 100m. One is supposed to be for the parc in general, the other one for the waterfall. Reasonable price and no discrimination towards foreigner/"bule" like in bandung. Was around 20.000 IDR together. Depends if you come by bike or car.
Once you arrive at the actual start of the walk to the waterfalls you notice a few shops and then the walk up. Which can be tiring for some. Guess it takes around 15 minutes - 30 minutes depending of your pace. Some small vendors along the route. Stony and did it on sandals.
Personnally i actually liked the waterfalls. Small place to swim/bath were it comes down. If you want to take a shower after your walk in it, you might want to bring your swimming pants. Some toilets very close by where you can change clothes. (IDR 3000 to use them).
Conclusion:
A nice getaway trip from bogor.
Relative easy to find if you have your own transport.
Normal entrance fee.
Short enjoyable walk.
I went on a weekday. 15-20 people were visitting that afternoon. Apparently it can get very busy in the weekend according to the local vendors.
Like everything in bogor and puncak if you are a tourist it might be very difficult to get around without your own transport. I did notice many "Angkots" going there so it is possible if you have a sense for adventure as a foreigner. Bogor does have more and more gojek/gocar/uber... (online mobile transport apps) possibilities which you could use.

Its a quick getaway for my wife and I. The trip took us 45 min drive from Bogor city.
Once we get to the gate, we were charged 15k per person and 15k for our car. (Not sure about motorcycle). Parking is easy to find but I recommend you to come as early as 6-7 o'clock in the morning as its still plenty of spot available and also small amount of visitors in the area.
We start walking for about 200 m from parking spot already the trail path flocked with mini shops selling foods. No need to worry about foods as there are plenty of them and for the next 2Km walking further. Also, theres public restroom available. I suggest to bring small money with you.
After 20min hiking, we are finally in the waterfall. The scenery is amazing, water is super chilly and refreshing. I took a quick dip. It was so fresh!
Overall experience is really nice. I think we will come back here again anytime soon.
What can be improved is the availability of trash can and more awareness of people throwing stuff (especially smoking) gosh seems like nobody cant live without cigarette up in this place.
Suggestion visit time: working days are the best. But on the weekend, try to come between 6-7.

I visited this attraction at the morning in June 2015 with my friends. I was really excited to come here. What I was expecting when I saw the advertisement of this attraction was big waterfall with a big river that I could swim in. But when I got there, I just saw a not big waterfall with small river.
Indeed it's different than I imagined it before but it's still beautiful. I still could enjoy the great view and the beautiful scene from the site. The water was cold but it's really fresh. I even felt the water poring down on me. It's hurt actually - it's felt like someone who has strong power delivering you a great massage.
The path to this attraction is also filled with many beautiful scenery. The trees here are huge enough to protect you from the heat of the sun so I bet you will enjoy the trip to the fall. I think the trail is not too hard even for children but be careful when you reach the small river path because the stones here are so slippery. Some parts are still natural and some parts are turned into some stalls for selling foods and drinks.
Overall, even it's a not too big waterfall with also not too big river, I still can feel it great. It's a great place for you all who wants to runaway from the heavy activity and dirty air from the big city. The air is so fresh and the green from the trees will make you relax and forget about all the bad things.
Last but not least, don't forget to bring camera because you will get many memorable picture here and use a pair of shoes/sandals that you can step into the water because if you don't wear one, it's hurt when you step on the sands or tiny stones.

Whilst in the area worth a pit-stop, however no need to go out of your way to plan a visit here if you are short on time or not local/resident. There are a few other things you can do before this in Bogor. Nice though.

to get there: the trip to the location will take around 1-2 hours from the city, depend on the traffic. public transport (angkot) can take you close enought to the entrance, but highly recommend to bring your own vehicle though they will charge you for the parking.
go there early in the morning is highly recommended during weekend, less crowded.
facility: bring small change/bank notes, as you will need to pay if you need to use the toilet. they have public toilets every 500m-1km around the hiking trail, they will charge you per person per visit. Also they have lots of food and drinks sellers along the way.
main attraction: we were told there are 3 waterfalls but we only get to one, the one at at medium height like 500ish meters. I suppose if you do the hiking from the lower ground, you will find at least 2 waterfalls. There are few signage and map to describe the area, so i have to ask around and/or follow the other group.
The waterfall we visited is beautiful, requires you to walk on the shallow stoney river to get there, but worthed.

Nangka Waterfall located not so far from Jakarta, takes about 64 km away and if you can go early it takes about 1.30 minutes only (from my house in East Jakarta) thru Jagorawi toll road. Easy access soft trekking thru pines forest, riverbank trekking and of course waterfall and exploring insect and some primates are so interesting to your kids. Price is very cheap.
