Located in the city Bogor (Kota bogor), This a must seen museum with best collections and good display. It is has skeletons and taxidermy of most animals that you may found in East Asia mainly in Indonesia. Also It is very big and most collection description are in Bahasa Indonesia but It is easy to understand animal as you can see it like it is live. The downside is that you are charged with the annexed forest which means not a lot to me. They are not allowing to choose museum or forest you have to pay for all. Museum cost 15000Rp during working days and 25000 Rp in weekend while for forest you have to pay 16500RP. General I was happy with museum exhibition.

This Museum located inside Bogor Botanical Garden, not sure if we can enter directly from outside. Since the location inside the Garden, so we need to pay 2 entry tickets, Botanical Garden and Museum. Good place for educate our kids and understand the nature. We can see various animals collection in here, but it can be create more attractive with better story or explanation in each of collection so people can learn and understand more. After visiting this Museum we can enjoying the Botanical Garden.

The animals which was shown are very old and the museum was too antique until I think it's haunted by animal ghosts.

Been here with my family on June 2019. The last time I went here was probably 30 years ago. And it still the same. No improvement at all. The display and the condition of the building were so so bad and can not attract young people to come, see and learn.
Please help to make this museum back into shape as one of the most interesting museum in Indonesia

It's completed and represented of tropical animals, small bone animals until biggest bone blue shark. This museum have been amazed ASEAN delegates when visited. More over, it's near by Botanical Garden, President Palace, and only couple minutes to the traditional souvenirs center of Indonesia namely Dekranasda of Bogor

It is always an adventure to go to Kebun Raya Bogor and the ticket include the visit to legendary Zoolog museum. Lots of animals such as tiger, snakes, butterfly, zebra, fishes and many more. My favorite one is the huge big whale bones. Kids love them...
You need to see this when visit bogor. Enjoy!

Been there once as a lil boy.. interesting place, since i like animals.
Come again as a father...
Nothing changes, ... i mean literally nothing is changing after 2 decade..
Disappointed? Yes..
Old building, need much effort.
Gloomy lighting.
