Not sure exactly how to rate this since we did not go inside but the grounds a beautiful and seeing all the deer is interesting. Last time we were here (Jan, 2015) I got some good pictures of some males fighting with their horns/antlers and I show them to my students when I share our trip. (My wife is from... More

Be aware that the Botanical and the Palace are sort of next to each other and separated by the River and still within the same gardens which you cannot enter. Lots of deers on the Palace ground for royal hunting I heard. You can actually see the deers when you drive to the rear side of the huge estate facing... More

The Bogor Palace was a favourite residence of Sukarno, first President of Indonesia. Sukarno was more or less detained here.when the future President Suharto took over the reins of government in 1967. The Palace is sometimes open... More

If you're so consumed by the hectic Jakarta, staying in Bogor for a weekend getaway is a great idea. Visiting Bogor Palace is a must-do to include in your itinerary. Here you will find tranquility; fresh air, green grass, and of course the majestic yet humble-looking palace. Oh and don't forget to play with the spotted deers!

If you tired of living in busy city, this is the spot to get your nerve relaxed. Bring your own food and relax on green grass. Or you can grab some food in the restaurant
