We engaged the services of jack tour for our family trip. We opted for a day tour, which we thoroughly enjoyed, and also enlisted their services for a second day.
Our tour guide, Eqi, was friendly and helpful. Throughout our tour, he recommended places to visit, and also helped to act as our translator. One main plus point was the flexibility of the itinerary, Our tour guide provided us with available options and also brought us restaurants that served what we felt like eating.
Overall, we had a very pleasant experience.

I would says that I am pleasantly surprised by their professionalism and the efficiency of their online booking services. All with the sincere and honest pricing as well.
We are travelling with young children and initially booked a driver with a car to bring us around Bandung. However, not only this guy is not honouring the price that we initially agreed, he raised the fees after fetching us from airport yet he was late every time pick us up.. Furious, we told him we do not need his service anymore. Lucky for me to find jack tour on the Internet! I done my online booking on their website around 6.20pm for a car with driver, the next day morning they call me up and immediately arrange for us the driver and car!!! That was awesome service... And the driver lukman, a nice young chap drives us around and recommend lots of places for us to shop and see! This is definitely a 'wow' service ;)

I was looking at Tripadvisor after booking the air tickets and hotel stay
for my family and aunties for Bandung trip. I finally booked JackTour after speaking to Miss Rini various times just to ensure my customized tour package is accommodated. She has been very patient and replied very promptly. I must say that the food and the tour guide, Mr Eqi, were beyond expectation. The food was succulent and the tour guide very honest, courteous and punctual. Eqi is also very obliging and could meet our requests to change some shopping places too.
Thank you Eqi and Miss Rini for making this Bandung trip so memorable for my family !

On arrival in Jakarta, we were met by our driver and english speaking guide, and started the journey to our first stop - Bandung.
The staff were promptly there to transfer us, and then took us to a few of Bandung's sights prior to checking in to our hotel. Since this was day one of our trip, we were not sure about costings, but after travelling 3 weeks through Indonesia, it became clear that either Bandung was very expensive, or our travel agency was overcharging. (our own mistake for not shopping around).
Our English speaking guide did speak English well, but apart from questions asked by us, he wasn't very forthcoming with information about Bandung. Our driver drove really well and we felt safe all the way. He tried his best at speaking English, and although it was a bit broken, he wasn't as bad as we were made to believe.
Our first stop was Kopi Luwak Tangkuban Parahu. Here we were explained how the process of producing Kopi Luwak worked and shown a civet cat. After the brief tour we could have a taste of the coffee at Rp 125.000, per cup. A complimentary 5 minute massage with the coffee residue was included when purchasing a cup of coffee, but then you are expected to tip the staff thereafter.
Our second visit was to a local tea plantation. There was no priceless and we were quite surprised when we were charged Rp 70,000. per person to be taken on a 10minute walk-about of the tea-factory. I looked back to see how our guide and driver were paid their commission. Being in the travel industry I am aware how this works, but we felt a bit exploited.
On our 3rd day we booked the driver alone + vehicle to take us to Kawah Putih, which was great, but on the way back - we asked to stop at a strawberry farm. It costed Rp10,000. per person to pick strawberry's. Once we had our strawberries picked, our driver was present when the farmer and his wife weighed the content. They exchanged a few sentences in Indonesian language and we were charged Rp 800,000. for the strawberries we picked. Our most expensive supermarket in South Africa don't even charge that much. This soured my experience of Bandung, as everywhere we went it seemed like the local people took advantage of us and tried to make as much possible out of us. I must also say honestly - we never had this feeling in any of the other Indonesian cities we visited.
The ladies in the travel agency was helpful and confirmed our services promptly, but after our money transfer, it took more than a month for them to confirm the monies were received + they also advised that a big portion of the monies paid was underpaid.
It didn't correspond at all with a payment we made to another operator on the same day at the same rate of exchange.
It's important to know that small things like this will put future tourists off from visiting Bandung. The travel industry needs a serious change of attitude.

Regardless of many bad reviews lately, our family used jacktour to organize our trip hoping that we could be one of those lucky ones. However it turned out sour. The car they sent to us broke down several times and the driver got lost in the middle of nowhere. The lunch & dinner were awful.... Totally disappointed!

Our driver Arif was very professional,friendly and always willing to help out. He came every morning with a smile and always on time. We couldn't ask for anything more. He was very knowledgeable of the area and a super safe driver.
I did however didn't find the deposit method convenient. I had to waste my time finding a bank to deposit money into the owner's account. Usually with this type of service you pay at the end but Jacktour requires a 50% deposit which for me was really inconvenient. I would definitely use Arif again whenever we visit Bandung.

My friend and I were looking forward to our first trip together and Jack Tour made our journey a very memorable one. The drivers were very friendly and they made us feel safe while accompanying us through the sight-seeing. Through connections around, they expand our knowledge about the history of Bandung and invited us into their culture of the suburban areas and very friendly locals. They brought us to many lovely attractions- not missing out Tangkuban Perahu and Kawah Putih, of course- for dining and also shopping. Will definitely recommend this tour company for any first-timers to Bandung. They'll definitely make you feel at home! Can't wait to be back to this lovely city and looking forward to contacting Jack Tour again :-)

Rinni and Lukman were great in providing their service.
Rinni was very responding on email and watsup to my querries.

We decided to use jacktour and willing to transfer some money deposit as we thought it was a good travel agency. But they really turned us down. They came late to pick us up at the airport nearly 2 hours and no apology at all and went on as if nothing had happened. The car was not well maintained and extremely dirty and the aircon wasn't working so we were sweating like hell in the car. Meals were below standard.

I had visited Bandung at the end of February. It was a trip planned with a short notice. Right from the stage of planning my itinerary (thanks to Bu Rini for the patience) to my actual trip. Just the day before the trip, I realized that the guide assigned to me did not speak English (and I spoke no Bahasa). Thanks to the team for immediately making changes so that both the driver and guide were English speaking. Thank you Pak Chandra and Pak Ganis.

It’s best you email them via their website and they will create a user id and password for you to communicate. All conversations, itineraries, amendments, payments, etc will be reflected in your query ticket. The phone number Jenny L gave is also useful but they will still create a ticket for you until your trip is over.
