Opening act at 10am was fun. Kids loved it. The place was quite impressive but it started going downhill when not all rooms are airconditioned and it was pretty hot, both while queueing and inside the rooms. And what was upsetting when we had to queue for 40 mins only to find out there was no one in charge to open the room and kids and adults together were left queueing without aircond and much ventilation. So this made kids unhappy and parents frustrated. So to avoid long queue we had to spend another $100sgd to get vip passes, on top of the $200sgd we spent earlier to enter the studio.

Admission
On a weekday, it cost Rp150,000 per person whilst on a weekend, the entrance fee becomes Rp250,000. Express pass (or VIP access) cost Rp150,000 on top of admission fee. As the park is using card system, those who have not yet have the card, need to pay extra Rp10,000 to buy the prepaid card. Whilst for international standard this would be categorized as cheap, but still it's not value for money.... Here's why...
Opening Scene
I went on a weekday and the place was deserted. The park opened at 10am, Prior to park opening, there was a pre-show which was some sort of dances performed by gate attendants. It was successfully becoming a crowd puller, but nothing much after that.
Entrance
Security will search thoroughly as outside food and drink is not allowed to be brought into the park. After that, your prepaid card will be scanned and the amount of admission fee will be deducted. You can top up your prepaid card at several points inside the park.
First land: Studio Central
Those will find it eeriely similar to Universal Studio's New York section or Disneyland's main street where brick walled facade of various buildings are lining up the black "painted asphalt" flooring. This area is the main street of Trans Studio and named Studio Central. The themeing is retro Hollywood with the focal point is the 70s diner called "Corvette Diner" serving burgers and popular fast food items.
The racing coaster won't open until noon (it's the only ride which goes outdoor as majority of the track of the coaster are located outdoor and can be seen from outside). Dunlop Trans Car Racing is a copy of autopia but which more speed... There is a photographer at the beginning of your ride to take your photo and the track is quite lengthy which is a good thing. But one will feel bored since no one around is riding and it felt like you're racing in an empty space... To make it worst, few derelict cars which were out of service were left scattered throughout the arena. Marvel Superheroes 4D was the weakest 4D simulator I've been through. The graphic was so fake and the special effect was totally a joke. One can't even feel the squirting water or the blowing wind effect. The worst came from the ride operator herself. In the preshow, she warned everyone that if one unbuckled the seat belt during the ride, she will abruptly stop the ride and told everyone to leave. It was exactly what she did during the ride! She rudely stopped the ride and told us that one had unbuckled the seatbelt and told us to leave!!! Unbelievable!
After being shocked by the attitude of the operator, I continued my exploration. The broadcasting museum is pretty interesting, but all information was in Indonesian. Not much attraction left for adult in this section other than the giant swing which was supposed to be a thrill ride but lack of themeing.
Second Land: Lost City
The copy of "night version" of adventureland with its jungle themeing. Jelajah is the river rapid ride with mixed between lost inca temple theme and plane wreckage... I did not try as it's the only ride that will get you wet in the whole park. Sky pirates was the floating gondola where riders were taken on a sightseeing journey throughout the small section of the park. The last ride is Kong Climb which supposed to be a regular wall climbing exercise dubbed as a ride.
Third land: Magic Corner
Is a hybrid between Harry Potter's land and haunted house. Many people will recognized instantly "harry" is duelling with a witch in a fountain in the middle of the land. Again, many kids rides can be found with adults may enjoy Dragon Riders which is slightly more fun than regular "Dumbo", adult version of jumping frog themed after jack and the beanstalk, and haunted house called "Dunia Lain" which feature horror urban legends of Indonesia. However, I found it to be so fake, it's not frightening at all, and tend to be boring.
Show and Parade: majority of the show and parade is held in the afternoon. All shows are conducted in Indonesian and foreigners might not understand at all.
Food and drink:
Studio Central has "corvette diner" which feature american fast food items and Studio Mie which feature noodle dishes. Lost City has Studio Kuring which served local western Javanese food and Magic Corner has Studio Bento which served bento dishes. On top of that, one can find Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf outlet, a Baskin Robbin outlet, and fast food cart called "Studio Chicks" which sells fried chicken. All outlets are operated by the company. Prices are theme park standard.
Retail outlet:
Unlike Disneyland or Universal Studios where one section of the park (or "land") typically sell items unique to the theme, Trans Studio retail outlets sell generic items to the park. Thus, it's no different on the collection of the retail shop you'll find outside the park with those scattered throughout the park making retail far less appealing.
Entertainment:
on a weekday, I only saw one singing/band performance at a mini-stage near the entrance (just before Corvette Diner
Crowd:
It was really deserted during my visit but maybe it will be full of family during weekends and school holidays. I recommend those who are seeking to ride particular rides several times to come on a weekday; it's cheaper, no queue, and definitely more value for your money.
Verdict:
Crew attitude at particular ride (e.g. Simulator ride) could have been trained to handle the situation better, other than that the rest of the crew was pretty nice. Ride selection could have been better for adults and the current one might attract kids more. In all, it's still lack of themeing (constant theme) and still feels like a "patchwork" theme park rather than the original one...
Caution: not all rides are wheelchair accessible. Whilst it is not mandatory in Indonesia to have everything to be wheelchair accessible, this park will have a big problem should the law is to be implemented in Indonesia...

If you have kids, like I do, Trans Studio Bandung is the must see attraction when in Bandung. Normal ticket price is RP.150.000- weekdays, RP.200.000.- weekends or holidays. You'd be given 'cash card' topped with that amount, one card for two persons. Amount would be zero once you enter the Studio. The Studio boasts an indoor amusement park, so you'd be safe from rain, wind, and the sun. Quite enticing for Indonesian, who gets enough of sun every day for the entire year. The amusement is okay, not enough variations: there are about 4 adrenalin rides (Vertigo, Giant Swing, Giant Forest, and Jet Coaster which apply only to those with strong heart and stomach, and not suitable for little kids), a Dragon Ride (quite suitable for kiddies), a Trans Car track (don't quite know what it was, the queue was 90 minutes long so we passed), Sky Pirate which is a 'blimp' circling the whole arena - suitable for all family members, too 'tame' for elder kids, ghost house, etc. We did not see all, honestly. The science center is very good: lots of touch and do experiments. Overall, the staff was not very informative, we had no idea that the cash card, originally topped with the amount for entrance, can be refilled inside to buy food and merchandises - no cash allowed. And that remaining balance can be used on the outside of the Studio at the joined Mall. So we did the silly thing of buying merchandise we did not really need just to finish off our balance, just to know afterwards that we can actually buy our meals in the Mall with that.

Having read other reviews, one cannot compare this theme park with the likes of Disneyland or Universal Studios for sure. After all, it's 150k only and certainly cannot expect the world from this place. Oh, for travellers who took Merpati or Air Asia flights into Bandung, be sure to bring your boarding passes along for a 20% discount off entry tics.
While it's great that it is an indoors kind of a park and away from heat of the sun, we covered the place in no time especially when the roller coaster was always under maintenance every now and then. My 8 years old girl enjoyed most of the thrill rides cos she has got simply no fear for such. The one she raved about most was The Giant Swing, which she took a couple of times.
This ride was hell for people with fears for heights.
There was a performance on the atrium stage which appeared impressive with the stunts and choreography of their dances although traditional. Costumes were awesome too.
Rock Climbing was a real challenge but great intro for amateurs. Other than these few, there is a haunted house called Dunia Lain. For those who watch Indo movies and do not fancy the scary ones, this place captures the same essence. Skip it.
One crucial info for all visitors, the park does all of their transactions via a cashcard which can be topped up any moment over most counters. Although, it was a pain to topping up every now and then when we needed, it was still ok for us since there were many counters eased this issue.

Total rip-off, don't bother. I know SE Asian theme parks are not the world's best, but I've been to a few and believe me this is the worst value for money ever.
For a start, despite TransStudio advertising saying babies are free, they're not. Yeah, you pay $50 for the honor of bringing your baby in. Inside, it is pathetic - one or two mildly interesting rides - the kind you'd see at any B grade minor city theme park in developed markets, and there's a particular scenic ride that is a bit of fun. But it's not $50 dollars per person worth of fun.
Save the anger I felt from this rip-off and don't go.

My family of 7 went on a Wednesday. For around S$21 ( same for adults and kids), it was actually quite reasonable. The place was new and we didn't have to queue for rides with the exception of the marvel Superheroes 4D ride which we queued for 30 minutes.
There were rides for all ages. Our younger 2 ( ages 4 and 5) actually had the kiddy rides part all to themselves!!.
Our older 2 ( 12 and 10 years) walked around on their own and tried a few rides.
We left the younger 2 in the kids gym area ( need socks) on their own and ventured to take a few rides on our own. We are both 40+ but got to re-live our daredevil days.. the pendulum- thingy ride and the drop-zone thingy ride was quite fun and we had younger people screaming like the world was going to end... hahahhaha.
Only thing which was bad was the price of food. Pop-corn was crazy at S$5 a pack!! and drinks were like S$2 to 2.50.
But we really enjoyed ourselves and would go back. So it isn't like universal studios but it wasbetter than Genting Highlands and definitely way way........ better than Berjaya times square in KL!

Apr 2014 • Friends
kindly to be inform that last ride is around 7pm, hahaha
fares around RP 150,000 (weekdays) and RP250,000 (weekends)
I was keep last for the best ride which is yamaha roller coaster and end up with disappointment when the last ride is at 7pm.
trans studio is an indoor theme park, cozy place with interesting ride, should add up more i think :)
my fav (*the one i manage to ride)
-vertigo, jack the slayer giant, haunted house(must go), and this one spinning beside vertigo.(*ddnt remember the name)
make sure to purchase this electronic cash to buy your food and beverage since they ddnt take cash.
for smoker, do not afraid. they provide this comfy smoking room nearby the pirate cruise ride.
overall, worth to spend your whole day at least at this place and cont shopping at trans bandung mall.

For those who want to spend weekend or short holiday at Bandung, you might wanna consider this place. this place provides many fun, adventure and pumping adrenalin games for kids and adult. Food is east to find. Located next to BSM mall, you can find lots of restaurant and food court there that provide Western, Asian and Bandung local food outside the theme park, although plenty food stall are provided inside it but quite pricy with standard taste. Please be notified that, once you exit this place you are not allowed to go back inside. Ticket price also quite expensive.
