It's a nice area with many interesting alleyways, markets and parks. The area could be better preserved with some historic buildings appeared to be running down. There are several foodie destinations as well which are worth checking out, especially in the evening.

This important street in Bandung is where many of the biggest banks have their headquarters in the city, where historical hotels such as the Prama Grand Preanger and the Savoy Homann Hotels are located. It is also where the Museum of the Asia-Afrika Conference and the Masjid Raya Bandung or Grand Mosque of Bandung are located. There is also the famous Braga Street which joins onto Jalan Asia Afrika, and the famous clock tower at one end of the street. One can also find lots of old colonial and art deco style buildings from earlier times during the Dutch colonial days.

On weekends locals flock to the Alun Alun Bandung in front of the mosque and all around this part of Jalan Asia Afrika can be found lots and lots of street food stalls. There are often events held in the area and the place gets very crowded especially in the evening time.

The street is named after the 1955 Asia Afrika Conference where heads of state from countries around Asia and Africa visited Bandung with many of them staying at the famous Savoy Homann hotel.

Near to the Museum you can see locals dressed in colonial outfits on bicycles on weekends, and people dressed up in famous costumes such as Transformers, ghouls, and famous cartoon characters where you can pay a price to have your photos taken beside them.
