Together with a friend, I decided to do the 5 days mountain retreat at the end of our Indonesian experience. This turned out to be a great decision. The mountain region surrounding Munduk was unlike anything I had ever seen before: such beautiful nature which you can enjoy without all the tourist you find in the south of Bali. Dave... More

My friend and I did a tai chi retreat with Dave. It was in a wonderfull part of Bali without all the tourist. We enjoyed the amazing nature and the expierenced some true Balinese rain season weather. Dave did a great job in teaching tai chi and adjusted to our styles. I really enjoyed everything, we followed the rythm of... More

Did a really great 4-hour workshop with Dave West hosted at Yoga Barn in Ubud. I do a lot of yoga and have wanted for some time to find out more about martial arts and especially Tai Chi and Qi Gong. Read a little and did a couple of taster sessions but did not feel much the wiser. This workshop... More

Dave is a master of teaching. He has a gentle intuitive way of guiding you through both the theory and movement practices of Qi gong. We had 2 private lessons with Dave, he came to our hotel and we had the lessons on our balcony. The classes with Dave were the highlight of my travels. Dave's teachings are like pieces... More

A wonderful mix of incredible scenery between lush tropical forest and picturesque waterfalls, temples and tai chi. Dave guided us through different breathing disciplines and meditations as well as ancient Asian wisdom.

I did the level one Tai Chi foundation course and it did not disappoint me at all. I felt the Tai Chi I learned was very real, not a fluffy dance version but a very complete internal health and spiritual based martial art. The course was very well structured with several side exercises and lessons in Qi Gong, pushing hands... More

For the first time I was able to memorise, comprehend and feel what I am doing and why I am doing it. THANK YOU... More

Dave is a very passionate and knowledgeable teacher! since completing a 4 hour Tao healing workshop almost two months ago I have become hooked on Tai chi and Qi Gong. I feel lucky, being one of the younger participants in the class that day, that I have come across this practice early and have it as a way of maintaining... More

I really enjoyed studying the Tai Chi 24 form from Dave this summer. He doesn't just teach the choreography, but also incorporates the martial applications, correct breathing techniques/posture and even introduces the concepts of leading qi around the body. I learnt a great deal and would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in gaining a deeper understanding of this... More

I have been practising and teaching tai chi and qigong for many years. On a recent trip to Bali I took the opportunity to spend a couple of hours with Dave West (who I had heard about in Australia) in a private session, as well as attend a few of his classes and his half-day workshop. Dave has a great... More
