Was well worth the trek up the mountain to experience the sunrise! Thank you so much Bali Sunrise Trekking & Tours for bringing us on such a wonderful adventure 😊 I felt very safe on both drives (thank you Nono(?) and Ngurah) and our trekking guide Wayan watched after us very well, leading us both up and down the mountain with care while ready to answer our questions. It was definitely an uphill trek but the views we had along the way, the amazing sunrise and clouds rolling in at the top (is chilly once the heat from the trek wears off so do be prepared with layers), yummy food offered, photo ops and volcanic steam experience all made the journey one I will cherish and remember. Thank you again to everyone at Bali Sunrise who made our experience possible!

It was a great experience for me trekking up Mount Agung via Pura Bersakih, it was a challenging terrain but worth the trek as you can witness majestic view and feel accomplished when you reached at the top of the summit.
I definitely recommend Bali Sunrise Trekking & Tours as they cater great customer service, safety and experience to the trekkers.
I would like to say thank you to the organisation and especially my tour guide (Gede) for being patient and giving outstanding experience during my trek!

Jack is a great tour guide. Being a solo woman I was not sure to book this with a stranger but Jack make me feel very secure since the beginning - he was responsive to my whatsapp messages, clear all my questions and was very respectful and protective the whole time. He was punctual on my pick up time and took incredible photos as I had no one with me to help. I will definitely recommend booking a tour with him!

My father, daughter and I did the bike ride from Mt Batur to Ubud/tegalalang. It was brilliant!
Gorgeous breakfast overlooking My Batur at a very trendy little pastisserie with lovely staff - a great venue chosen by the operator.
The bike ride was so joyful and a really great experience for the variety of ability in our group. I love to ride fast, my dad is also an experienced rider but has an injury, and my daughter was a bit nervous. However, the roads were quiet and we saw a lot of agricultural practices and Balinese culture in it's authentic form.
Our guide Adi was so informative and knowledgeable and also very keen to support fun and safety. His information at the local family home and temples were really insightful and made the trip extra enjoyable.

The Mt Batur sunrise hike was one of the highlights of the trip. Very early wake up, but well worth it. Our guide Wayan was great; he took amazing photos, made sure we kept a pace that everyone was comfortable with, and gave us interesting facts about the volcano and surrounding areas. If you're interested in doing this, I highly recommend it, and ask for Wayan when you book!

My dad and I just went on the sunrise jeep trek and it was worth every penny! Our driver picked us up at 3:30am from our hotel and brought us to the waiting area (where we ate breakfast and had coffee) to wait for the jeep. Our jeep driver and guide, Agus, was super knowledgeable, a great driver and an amazing photographer as well. The view at the top was well worth the early wake up call! Thank you Bali Sunrise for the wonderful adventure!

I did the Mount Agung sunrise hike, and it was the most rewarding climb I've ever experienced. The staff do an amazing job at coordinating the trip and letting the nature showcase itself. The skilled guide led our group well and ensured our safety throughout the journey. All in all, very memorable and special - well done!

The driver and guide were both incredibly accommodating and helpful. I made it to the summit of Agung and back down safely, thanks to my guide's attentiveness, as well as the confidence he instilled in me. The hike is strenuous but rewarding, and the breathtaking sunrise views at the summit will last a lifetime.

Incredible experience from start to finish. Our driver Wayan Terek picked us up at 2:30am. He was a great driver and knowledgeable about the culture and mountain trekking experience. The drive was smooth and quiet. The ascent up the mountain was quite difficult because of the terrain and the fact it was pitch black. We did use headlamps and our guide was very helpful. Views from the top of the mountain were incredible. Very peaceful and serene, despite the hundred or so other people at the top. Hike down was equally challenging but fun. Members of my group hiked Wayan Terek afterwards to drive us around Ubud and even to the airport. He was great.

Absolutely fantastic experience today climbing the east side of Mount Batur with these guys. They are incredibly responsive and professional during the booking process and also very flexible. We climbed with Wayan today who was utterly fantastic. Unlike other occasions when we have climbed, he took the time to show us around the crater properly as opposed to there and back and quickly as possible. He’s also got a lot of knowledge about the Indonesian mountain range, plus he’s a really nice guy with fantastic English. Definitely ask for him!

How would children 7 and 9 go with this? Are there pick ups from Ubud?

Normally, the trek is fine for children over 8 years old. You may want to book a private guide if your group needs a little more time and you do not want to be paired up with other passengers (normally, there will be one guide per every four passengers).

How fit do you need to be ? And is it very steep all the way for the two hours. Just wondering if I can keep up.

If you don't usually do any form of exercise, you'll probably struggle a bit. But the hike imo is doable.
It got pretty steep around 2/3 of the way, especially when you're reaching the peak. There are alot of bits and pieces of volcanic rocks which make the road very slippery. Wear good shoes that have good grip.

Yes, we absolutely offer English speaking guides. Pickup at the Puri Gangga Resort is also perfectly OK. It is Tegallalang, and counts as "Ubud Area," when booking your location for pickup. (rates to vary by location).

I've been having second thoughts after seeing some YouTube videos of the tour. And then I look at the number of people who've done the tour here as well and having dilemmas. Is the way down dangerous? I saw some videos that show people climbing all the way up the narrow crater and it scares me. I don't mind getting tired but I'm quite concerned with some climbing parts of the way. My palms get sweaty just by thinking about it. Any advice?

If you're thinking about it. Do it. I promise you as a random person from across the world you will not regret it.
In all seriousness i didn't see one guide who was hurrying their group. The guides want everyone to enjoy themselves and take it all in.
Our group of four had a couple of slips but nothing too dangerous, and at each slip our guide was there to offer a helping hand and some advice if needed.
The climb up in the dark might seem daunting but we seemed to find it easier than going down in broad daylight. You'll see local kids running up and down like its nothing but there is absolutely no shame in sitting on your bum and shifting down bit by bit on the hard parts! :) Hope you go for it!
