Batur Caldera Sunrise Trekking

The Batur Caldera is a wonderful alternative to Mount Batur trekking for people who would prefer to avoid the crowd, with even more spectacular views. The hike is a little easier, and so may be preferable for families with children. Boat ride included.

We loved this hike. Although it'a an early start it'a 100% worth doing. We had Adi as our guide and he was amazing. Provided us a lot of information, looked after us, made sure we were ok at all times and took some pictures for us. Even though it was quite cloudy the views were still amazing. Must do if your in Bali

I booked this trip for my father's birthday and he absolutely loved it! For me the trekking up was challenging as I'm not in the best shape, but for him it was easy peasy. The guide also was very patience and waited with me every 30 minutes or so to take a little rest. Once we arrived everything was totally worth it! They gave us a little breakfast and we purchased a hot beverage to recover. I'm not going to say that I would do it again, but I loved the adventure :)

This was an amazing trek. It's an early start but we'll worth it on a clear day to see the sun rise- the view is amazing! Great work by the guide and I liked the boiled eggs and banana sandwich breakfast! This is definite Bali must do!

Booking and communication from the operator was good. However, I was a bit surprised when the operator informed me that my booking was for a shared transport when I had booked private transport option. After a few WhatsApp exchanges, the operator agreed to provide a private transport for the family. The English speaking driver and the trekking guide was great. The guide will ensure the group of 3 to 5 pax will trek at your own pace and to make it to the top. Even if you are slow, you can still catch the sunrise on the way up. You won't miss the sunrise. Tips. Most opertors in Bali use private car as the mode of transport. If you have 3 or more people taking the tour, do not need to book with private transport options. Don't need to spend extra money,
