About
I have taught Fine Arts for more than 30 years around the world. I am the founder of BCAC and a surrealist painter with a strong background in the psycho-therapeutic approach to teaching. I have done substantial work with Rudolf Steiner’s color theory. My courses in Bali are primarily skills based and combine practical, hands-on instruction accompanied by the theoretical and art historical considerations in the arts. I have exhibited widely and taught visual art around the world.

My partner and I signed up for Art Classes with Bruce. Both of us did art in school and hadn’t tried it since. We wanted to let go of our self limiting ideas. It was a way for us to reframe our perception of what Art means to us and Bruce did that in the most unexpected ways. We experienced art from a perspective that had its bases in spirituality, science, history, psychology. Part of the joy of learning was Bruce and his approach. He made us laugh, he made us listen, he made us think and feel. We tapped into places we dint quite know existed. We took what we learnt and applied it else where in our lives too. It was a way for our subconscious minds to come to the forefront which I found to be very revelatory. Some of it was a meditative process. Art can be truly therapeutic as it turns out, as it is an expression of the soul. Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

Sabah and her partner Jango were very enthusiastic clients who plunged into the art experiences we offer head first with energy and originality. They were a pleasure to work with and great fun. They were also determined to extend their knowledge and skills in the studio and open to discussing and assessing the results frankly and courageously.

Petra was clear with me about what she wished to achieve in the studio sessions and she went about this with energy and an open mind. It was a pleasure to work with her and gratifying to see her improvement, enjoyment and her satisfaction with the experience and the art she produced. I look enthusiastically look forward to working with her at the center here again in the future.

I’ve visited Bali many times and this time, my purpose was learning painting in Ubud and I was confident that BCAC is the right choice. I read posts and reels from the Instagram of BCAC and enrolled 3 classes. 🌷
In fact, I was a little bit afraid to fill empty canvas with still life, landscape or people.
But my first class with Bruce completely made me free. He was a teacher for international school in many countries and has in-depth knowledge about art therapy and a lot of experience for teaching various people in Bali.
Bruce said to me, "Do not think," and at that moment I felt at ease, and began to draw without hesitation.
Thanks to his guidance, I was able to draw as my hands and mind wanted and the result was so satisfying. 😍
After finishing 3 classes, I enrolled 3 more classes. I was so pleased because my paintings reflected my unconscious, soul and dream.
Also the atmosphere and the vibe in his studio were really inspiring!! Bruce’s amazing surreal paintings on red & yellow colored wall, big window with sunlight and pleasant music!!! 🌷
Class with Bruce was so fun! He is humorous and witty and understands my inner part from my paintings. He always listens to my words and gives wonderful advice.
👍👍👍
Taking 6 classes, I was able to broaden my perspective on art.
These days, I enjoy drawing the subject I want. I feel myself recharged through the process of drawing and it’s a big healing experience.
I decided to have 3 more classes in late July!
So excited!!! It’s a true art therapy. 😊😊😊
Big thanks to my teacher, Bruce🙏🙏🙏
