The day started with an insightful visit to the market, although the hotel pick up was about 30 minutes later than agreed. In small groups, we were given a tour of the market, taught about the key ingredients and even got to taste some fruit which I had never seen before. From there, we went to the beautiful rice fields,... More

Our whole family had so much fun at this cooking class! We took the evening class so it would serve as dinner, thus we didn't get to do the market tour. No matter -- Puspa and her husband were welcoming and so much fun. You really get a taste of the culture through the food and the traditional Balinese home.... More

This cooking class was excellent. It was interactive, fun, and we actually learned how to make Balinese food. We made friends with the other people in the group, because you all work together to make the meal. The teachers, esp. Pushpa, are pretty awesome, very funny and very accommodating. They also did a great job working with the vegetarian people... More

It started off with a morning market tour – which was quite nice as we saw the various fruits/vegetables that we wouldn’t normally get in north America. The guide allowed us to taste some of these exotic fruits –... More
