- Ryan M1 contributionAuthentic cooking experience.Amazing experience. Really authentic. The people were so kind and welcoming and great fun! The class was really fun and informative and we got a real Bali experience - definitely recommend. They even put together an edited video of the course. Final result was delicious.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 12, 2024
- Passenger7605612 contributionsWhat a fabulous and joyous experience!Loved the experience!! Visiting the local market to puck ingredients was great. Got to learn a few things and taste fruits I knew of but never had fresh. Then the cooking class was scrumptious. All very well explained, easy, lots of joy and laughter, and the end result was incredible. I highly recommend it - definitely worth it!Visited March 2024Traveled soloWritten March 15, 2024
- Christel SDornbirn, Austria148 contributionsUnderstanding Bali properly!Women in Bali get up early: there is a lot to do! Cooking rice is almost a ritual and takes an hour. The result is really perfect! That's why it is eaten for breakfast, lunch and dinner, every day! The Hindus always make an offering first; that's why we also learn how to make an offering basket and the meaning of everything, including the colors.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 15, 2024
- Emily W1 contributionHigh recommend! I loved every minute!Absolutely go! I had the best time! I went solo and had a blast with their family and the other couples. The detail from the explanation of each step in the market to every ingredient and how to prepare and cook it was superb! So professional and such happy good energy. I really loved it, I would highly highly recommend!! We made so many dishes and went home with a full recipe book, video of our experience and traditional Balinese offering. Really special experience.Visited March 2024Traveled soloWritten March 19, 2024

- Magda V1 contributionAmazing balinese cooking class in UbudWe have absolutely enjoyed the morning balinese cooking class. Complete experience combining a visit to local market to introduce local products, followed by prepairing a floral offer, then cooking a complete menu of 7 dishes, and finally enjoying the meal!!! Overall wrapped with kindness and hospitality in an amazing environment. Thanks for such a unique and unforgetable experience. - Kelvin S2 contributionsCobek Bali Cooking ClassMy friends and I had a wonderful experience from start to finish with the Cobek Cooking class. It was clear from the beginning that a lot of thought and effort went into creating an authentic experience for us. Our host took us to a market where we were able to pick out all of the ingredients we would need for the meals we would be learning how to prepare that day. She explained the importance of all the items we bought, and we were able to hold and sample some of the ingredients. As a result, my friends and I were able to get a true sense of what a typical shopping trip to the market would be like in Bali. Once we'd acquired all of our ingredients, my friends and I were transported to our host's home where we were able to prepare multiple dishes with all of the ingredients we'd just purchased at the market. We were guided step by step throughout the entire process. The culmination of the day was actually getting to eat all of the dishes we'd just prepared. The food was delicious and we were pleasantly surprised to discover that our host had captured our entire experience with photos and videos. We were also given a recipe book with all of the dishes, should we ever want to attempt to make them again on our own. This was an unforgettable experience and I would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting Bali in the future.Visited March 2024Traveled with friendsWritten March 29, 2024

We learnt lot about Balinese food and culture at the market visit and throughout the cooking class. The class was very hands on and the food we made was delicious, some of the best food we have eaten while in Bali.💕Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 6, 2024
- Jitske M3 contributionsGreat, full cooking experience! It was a great experience! Lovely to get the full experience: going to the market first, having a nice drive, making a piece for offering, and then the wonderful cooking! Wayan learned to cook several delicious dishes. Wayan was lovely and funny. Afterwards we got a nice video of our experience and the recipes. Highly recommended!Visited April 2024Traveled with friendsWritten April 6, 2024

What a fantastic experience this was! The value for money is unbelievable, when you consider the free round trip transport within central Ubud, all the preparation necessary to run a class smoothly, the variety of ingredients and the professional delivery of the class itself. I attended the afternoon class today, which I had booked very last minute yesterday evening. As it turned out, I was the only participant, so I got a private one-on-one class! I was impressed that they would run a class with just one person and I’m sure glad it was me. I didn’t mind missing the market visit since I had plans in the morning and I’ve been to many markets in Bali already having lived on the island for a couple of years but somehow never got around to taking a cooking class. The class was fun, informative and included plenty of hands-on participation. During the cooking process, level of spiciness can be customized to your liking, if that’s a concern or desire. There’s always chopped chiles you can add to kick it up a notch! The setting is a lovely and peaceful residential compound in a small village just outside central Ubud. The workspace was simple but well equipped for what was needed to produce these dishes. And you do make a lot of food! Since I was on my own, I got everything presented on a single beautiful platter, with soup and dessert on the side. I wasn’t even that hungry but I finished nearly everything, it was so delicious! Thank you so much for a wonderful afternoon!

I had an incredible experience at the cooking class in Bali! From the moment they picked us up from the hotel, everything was well organized. We started with a trip to the local market, where they explained all the ingredients we'd be using. Then, they took us to a stunning rice field for the cooking session. The kitchen setup was beautifully decorated, and the entire experience was so well thought out. The instructors explained every step and encouraged us to participate, making it hands-on and fun. The people were warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. If you love cooking and want an authentic Balinese experience, I highly recommend this tour!"

The entire experience was amazing. Started with a timely pick up from our hotel. We were then taken through a proper local market with Wyan (the Queen bee) explaining the intricacies of the vegetables and spices which make Balinise cuisine. Having an insider view of the market was very educational.
On arrival to the cookery place, I believe her house, a quaint house with an area done up for cooking class, we were greeted with a welcome drink. Wyan then took us around her kitchen garden with 5 types of gingers ( galangal, turmeric, Balinese ginger and ordinary ginger amongst them) lemongrass, cassava etc. Her rice fields were just adjacent. The whole place exuded a charm which I fail to capture in my words.
The cookery space itself is thought out and organised. All the ingredients were laid out with the recipes. We were a group of 8 people. Wyan led the whole cookery steps in a organised way, such that everyone was a part of the experience.
Her knowledge, enthusiasm and love for what she was doing shone through.
We prepared basic sauces and then an array of dishes. Following from the cooking we sat for a sumptuous meal of what we had cooked. Each dish was tasty and different. One can for a small charge complement the meal with soft drinks or beer. I opted for the beer!
Overall, Wyan’s enthusiasm, passion and love for what she was doing, her professional organisation were the true highlights for me.
She unsurprisingly wants to open a restaurant in the future and I’m sure with her attributes, she will be very successful.

Highly recommend this! The market was so interesting & we learned a lot. The cooking glass was in a beautiful setting overlooking the rice field and garden. We went with our three kids and the hosts were so friendly and helpful with the kids. The kids (ages 6, 8 and 9) had a great time and loved it! Puthu was funny, nice and answered all our questions. The food was delicious! Recipe book and video of our time cooking was all included. Would definitely do it again :)

A must go if you're in Ubud! The food was amazing and all the cooks were so friendly. You also make a surprising amount of food so you're definitely getting your moneys worth - I think we made 9 dishes in total. Everything was recorded too so we got loads of pictures and videos sent to us after.

Recommendation this cooking class to get in touch with the local culture. Everything was organized in detail.
Early in the morning we visited a local Point of Sale, friendliness and kindness found in all people.
The explanation of the various dishes was impeccable and the food quality really great. Wayan is an exceptional cook as well as being a wonderful person.

It was an amazing experience and I was so grateful to be there. We learnt about local plants and then prepared a delicious meal with soup, main menu (consisting of many different dishes) and dessert!
The atmosphere was very familiar and the price was also very fair - I would recommend it to everyone!

Today my 15 year old son and I took part in this Bali cooking class. The class was something we both really enjoyed and it was great to do together. We were lucky as we were the only two in the class today and we had the full help and attention from our tutor Wayan who is excellent at what she does, also very warm and welcoming bringing us to her home and sharing this experience. I recommend this to others with teenagers and I also think this would be great for a bigger group of friends.

The excursion is phenomenal!! The company sent a driver who came to pick me up from the hotel even though I was 1h away from the meeting place. When we met at the market, Putuu, our guide was very friendly and helpful and we got to try some fruits! Back at the cooking site, the area is amazing. They have a garden where they grow many of their own ingredients to cook. All of the staff are friendly and give you step by step instructions/demonstration on how to prepare the ingredients before you do it yourself. There were some couples and one family in my group, but the whole process is such an involving experience that even tho I went solo I never felt out of place. Whatever we were preparing, we were all taking part in it. The food was delicious and they offer a vegetarian option (which actually turned out to be vegan as well)! We left with a recipe book for all of the dishes we prepared & a video of our entire experience!! I cannot recommend this experience enough!!! 10 stars!!!! 🩷⭐️

The hole Trip was Amazing and we can fully recommend it!!!
We were picked up at our hotel. After a Short Drive we stopped at a traditional market.
His wife explained us many interesting Informations about the fruits, vegtable and all the other stuff which is selling there.
After this stop we drove to their home.
Here we made the traditional flower baskets.
Afterwards we cooked a lot of different balinese Food.
We could try everything and at the End we ate everything!
