Under the Banyan Tree is a magical 'corner' of Bali! I feel the grace there as soon as I walk down the steps past the large pohon beringin and enter the uniquely designed open-air shala that blends into the forested surroundings. This 11-day Devi training I joined was held here. I learned about womanhood in all its aspects through a framework of movement, sharing circles, and beautiful ceremonies and was surprised and delighted me in every way. I'm still reaping the benefits of this deep work on devotion, reconfiguring ideas of femininity, creativity, security, love, and more. I feel the power of the feminine and connection with others in an expanded way. I'm thrilled to be part of the Be Woman Project, and the world needs these new ways of thinking!

Under the Banyan tree is a special place to be centered around during your stay in Bali. It's conducive to deep spiritual growth, being supported by the energy of the neighboring Balinese temple and the grace of the collective practice of the sanggha's residents. Many sweet accommodations and restaurants are nearby (like a favorite, Cafe Vespa), and just a short ride away are the numerous cafes and restaurants of Penestanan, Sanggingan, and Central Ubud.

Some experinces reaches a place in your heart and becomes sacred ...this is such an experince . I will treasure it always. The beauty is hard to describe , as is the feeling of standning in the water feeling the power from the waterfall , the climbing , draging and amazement of it all . The lovely guides took such good care of us, and feeding us with fruit along the way, and the loveliest meal after hours of trekking. One of the most beautiful memories I have . Thank you so so much <3 <3 <3

The Waterfall tour was a magical experience. To get close to the jungle and swim in the beautiful waterfalls gave memories for life. It's really something I want to do again. Thanks for the experience.

Sama yoga shala is located in the quiet and refreshing area with all the green and natural surrounding in Ubud! It's very easy to feel peaceful once step in. And the teaching of Sama Yoga helps bring more awareness inward with all the positive encouragements and cares. Really enjoy there! For sure will go back again!!

I practiced yoga in a number of different locations while I stayed in Ubud and this was one of my favourites - it has an amazing energy, humming with spirituality amongst the treetops. I wish I had discovered it sooner as I would have visited it every day I was in town. I recommend going to the free puji (prayer) at 7am before the morning sama yoga class. Thanks to the lovely teacher for opening my heart here. I will be returning for more!

If you are sensitive to energy you will really love the yogaclasses provided here under the majestic Banyantree. The people Ive met here are very humble with a soft approach (and playful) to both life and yoga, it is easy to feel that if you pay attention.
They also have wonderful adventures here in Bali. I tried "the 7 waterfalls tour" and completely loved it, how it was organized and the places we arrived at.... I was stunned in the sight of the "holy water" pouring down. And even more I guess from taking a dip in it, super-cleansing and was so recharged the day after.
Also participated in a biketour which was a fun experience!

The bike tour was incredible. The staff were friendly and attentive; we were able to make stops to see daily Balinese life, schools, rice paddies... I loved every moment of the tour and strongly recommend taking tours with this company.

I went to under the banyan tree for the first time for my yoga teacher training which was for me one of the most beautiful and powerful experience of my life. Classes are just amazing connected to physical emotional and spiritual aspect. The atmosphere and teaching are based on truth, sharing and love. You can feel a real heart connection.i felt really nurished like never before in a yoga class.
And there is nothing about comparaison and judgment.... for me it s the most real and true yoga places in Ubud. Classes are so unic. A beautiful community of Real People :-) Sama yoga has to be experienced. It cant be explained. Thank you so much all of you for your care and authenticity .

In my opinion, definitely the best yogashala in Ubud. Such a beautiful spot, close to the ricefields, surrounded by trees and flowers. Yoga teachers with long experience and wonderful hearts!
