- brandon cGreenland18 contributionsBeautiful beach for sunrise. Not many people, great view, cafe nearby, most of all, you can see lots of diverse fish when you’re snorkling here. Don’t need to go far, just go to the point where seaweed is long enough. There are even some big fishes.Written September 4, 2021
- Grant PCowaramup, Australia104 contributionsNice beach with lots to doReally nice stretch of beach with a heap happening. Warungs, bars, restaurants, hotels and cafes. Would definitely recommend exploring by bike along the bike path over than walking as there is so much to see.Written February 17, 2020
- Off their PManchester, United Kingdom3,835 contributionsAnother beautiful beachThere are many beaches in this area and this one was rank as one of our favourites. It is a really laid-back place with an authentic feel about it and the locals seem to enjoy their time there as well as tourists. There are tons of places to get food and drink and often for not very much money at all. It is very flat for walking and the sea is very calm.Traveled as a coupleWritten February 24, 2020

The is a wonderful boardwalk with many eateries and beautiful beaches....hard to beat. Can rent a chair if you want to swim. Some restaurants let you use chair on the beach for free if you order food or a drink.f

We walked from Sindhu Beach to Sanur Beach.
The footpath passes a lot of small shops, nice restaurants and the back of some large hotels.
But this is about the beach not the stuff off the beach.
The beach was filthy with rubbish & not as nice as the Nusa Dua beaches.
The hawkers are nearly as anoying as the stray dogs and their mess.
I would not swim here.

An otherwise lovely beach is blighted by this operation in a small shed with open sides. It was very upsetting to see how the turtles are housed - smelly water without any stimuli. Some were listless and struggling to breathe. Many looked pale. The operator appears to have little regard for animals' welfare and when asked about one of the turtles he became immediately defensive and aggressive. There is a large clear box full of cash donations (you can release a baby turtle back into the water, though not a big one (according to the operator they are too sick)). It is hard to see what the donation money is spent on as the conditions are dreadful. Furthermore, as an education centre, one would expect signage on the life cycle, habitat, conservation status etc of the turtles - no information was visible.
If you would like to support turtle conservation in Bali, please contact Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA) for their recommendations.

Our family spent a couple of days during our recent trip to Bali exploring the delights of Sindhu beach.
The first few minutes after exiting a taxi here are always uncomfortable as you inevitably get swamped by 4-6+ ladies all desperately trying to get you to visit their shops. You'll need to be firm but polite to get them to leave you alone...otherwise they'll follow you about all day!
Prices in the stalls near Pantai Sindhu all seem to be loosely based on those in the fixed price shop TootSie so this is always a good place to start from to gauge prices. TootSie has a massive variety of goods available but the range within each style may be limited (eg only Bintang or Billabong singlets available...but not these plus Bali, Hot Tuna, QuickSilver, Fox Racing, Vans, and other styles also).
Another option is the market stalls next to Benno's Cafe where foot traffic is much quieter although competition for your tourist dollar can be quite fierce. Lots of standard street stall goods are available here too but also several quirky little places worth exploring deeper if you have the time and inclination.
There are a couple of day spa's located at Sindhu Beach and there are also numerous beachside operators offering to plait hair or provide massages. My daughter got a long thick head of hair plaited here on the beach for Rp100k whilst I could obtain a 1hr whole body massage for Rp50k.
There are numerous beachside restaurants of which I can recommend The Beach Cafe, Benno's Cafe, and Sand Cafe as providing a reasonable meal.
The beach itself is more of a swimming beach providing a safe opportunity away from the crowds of Kuta & Legian where kids can have a play in the shallows.
There's a lot to see and do here that makes a day trip to Sindhu Beach worthwhile...enjoy!

The best thing for us about Jl Pantai Sindhu is the Kalimantan Bar or Borneo Bob's bar. Situated under a giant pair of trees close to the beach and on the north side of the road it sells damn good food, which is well presented by great staff in a cool environment. The margaritas are cheap, to die for and perfectly suited to wash down some deep fried onion rings. There is a good range of Bali food and a fine range of Mexican food.It is beginning to look a little tired now and the toilets could do with an upgrade/renovation but for atmosphere and value for money it is hard to go past. There was an electrical failure while we were in the one night but the beer, gin & tonics and margaritas kept coming. Well done Bob's staff. Bob is always up for a chat as well.

Watch the local tide charts to take advantage of a King Tide (1.5 -2m) and the water is deep and flat like a pool. Locals bathe daily at sunrise, or have ceremonial offerings, whilst business owners sweep the beach clean. Many great shops and cafes nearby, making for a pleasant walk

My children and I booked a 5 day stay in Sanur expecting our time here to be all about the beach. When we got to the beach we were shocked at how much rubbish was along the shoreline and in the water. There were plastic bottles floating on the water surface as far as you could see. We then went to the waterpark in Kuta. After this we went to check out the beach there. It was exactly the same. For a small island they have to do something about the plastic. Flying in to Bali you could also see rubbish in the ocean out of the plane. If I'd known prior to booking my ticket I would've gone somewhere else. I love the Balinese but it shows an absolute disregard for the environment and future of tourism here.

We love going to this part of the beach of Sanur... You can walk there over the beautiful boardwalk alongside the whole of Sanur Beach.
It has nice and relaxed beach restaurants to visit for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just drinks.

All the travelers to the islands is standing i line, could be more organised with a kind og haubor, lots of small shops chaming, lots of fine hotels along the beach line but scooters is a mes and not good for a walking trip, should not be leagal at the walkway
The beach is some places very green from vegetation but some places very nice with white sand and a bank out in the sea make i pretty safe for childeren but out after the sandbank the waves can be high
Take a walk along and drop in for a cold drink and enjoy the ses

Very clean, clear water and white sand. We paid a hotel 150,000 for 2 sunbeds which we used all day. There is plenty of places for food and a market for clothes and souvenirs. They also have their own turtle Sanctuary on the beach

There are several decent restaurants along Sindhu beach and lots of market stalls where you can test your haggling skills but I havent seen much in the way of live shows.
This type of entertainment is better suited to the Legian St bar strip in Kuta.
Cheers :-)

Hi . Can you recomend any live shows /entertainment on sindhu beach
BundyRed
Duncraig, Australia2,962 contributions
You won't get anything on the beach , it's very different to Kuta / Legian.
Best to go to a bar like Casablanca on Jl Tamblingan , they have live bands 7 days a week....The Wicked Parrot across the road is similar.
Another quieter bar is Linga Longa in the South off Jl sudamala for more live music.
Some of the larger resorts may have traditional Balinese dancing if that's what you're after.
