We are so excitied to welcome back our international guests at Chantara Spa now that Bali has opened its doors to tourists. A big thanks to our local guests for their support and love over the few past years. Rest assured we take your health and safety seriously. Excellent and authentic Balinese Spa. I had the two hour treatment with the massage, ginger and coffee salt scrub and yogurt. Plus the hair cream bath. It was a little strange having yogurt put in my hair, but I was surprised at how nice it made it feel afterwards. Excellent and very professional Spa. Great service. Only a five minute walk from my hotel, the Intercontinental.

Amazing spa....must be in our top 3! Although not as exotic as others perhaps, this is a truly wonderful experience! Our attendants were Dewi and Ayu, but whole team from receptionist to other team members we met, were excellent. Immediately felt relaxed, a foot bath/wash set the tone and from then on we were on Cloud 9
Great choice of services available...we had a couples massage and facial treatment. 2 hours went by so quickly! Prices are excellent for the first class service and hospitality you receive.
We will return without a doubt. Thank you team Chantara!

The environment and therapists skill are worth for the price.
If they didn’t steal your time.
Our experience was pretty sad regards the time length has been steal.
I was contact with the store regards the ability and told we the might get there around 2pm, the store was very active to call from what’s all and wants me confirm a time by calls.
1:58pm I got the phone call from store while we are few steps away.
After check the menu, organize 3 of us for 120 mins treatment then foot wash, it was at 2:08pm not yet get change.
After the first massage, we decided to have another 30 mins on foot.
4:03pm I’ve dress and setting outside sending text to family.
The massage was completely finished at 4:30pm.
4:31pm I already ready to pay for 2.5hrs treatment in downstairs.
Anyone who has been in a massage could notice the time has been cutted.
While I hand my card and asked why the 2.5 hrs treatment was finish in 2.5 hrs including the time I looked the menu and change.
The store told me the time was count from the reservation time!!
I told them I was contact with what’s app asking ability and got phone call from store at 1:58 when I still on my way and I had foot while I text to my partner at 2:08. They told me because you wouldn’t put the phone down.
For a 2hrs treatment plus another 30mins foot massage which cost 135k rp.
They had steal at least 20 minutes from reading the menu and clothes change.
I’m a massage lover. I understood if it’s 5 mins shorter for any treatment.
But I could not accept for a 2 hrs treatment end in 1 hr 15mins and a 30 mins foot massage cost 135k but received less then 25mins.
The store offered 15% discount in the end.
But it was not a discount for me it is just the price to pay what I received.
I checked the google reviews before I went that store, mostly are good but pre-covid, but I would not recommend this place from to my experience.

Thank you for your positive feedback about our environment and therapists which is appreciated.
Regarding your feedback that you did not receive the full time for your treatment, this is disappointing to hear.
We advise all our guests to arrive 15 minutes before treatment time to allow for your complimentary tea and foot spa. We phoned you to confirm this requirement and even with this reminder you only arrived 5 minutes before. It is also noted that you were on mobile phone frequently. When you went into the treatment room to change you were busy for a long time on your mobile phone with our therapist waiting outside to commence your treatment.
This impacted on your treatment time. It is unfair to say we cheated your time. The reduced time was due to you arriving later than our recommended 15 minutes and the long time it took for you to change. It would have not been fair to the guest booked after you to have their treatment delayed.
Finally, on the day, we extended to you 15% discount which was our way of showing our hospitality and good will.
We will consider this a learning experience to help us improve our quality and services. We look forward to welcoming you again in the near future at Chantara Spa.

Excellent professional and skilled therapists and wonderful massages, and especially outstanding pregnancy massage!! We tried lots of different spas in Sanur (and Ubud) and I just had the most wonderful experience at Chantara Spa, the therapist (Ayu!) knew how to accommodate and keep my belly safe whilst giving an excellent massage, and the rooms are big and the massage tables bigger than other places so when you’re on your side (for pregnancy massages you have to be on your side) there’s actually room. So much more comfortable, so relaxing, and the best massage I’ve had in Sanur and Ubud.
My husband had excellent massages here too but my special mention is for the pregnancy massage because it really has been hard to find someone experienced and who could do that properly.
Highly recommend.

This was my favourite spa in Sanur pre-COVID, but I found my recent visit a bit disappointing. Perhaps it is just getting back on its feet or there has been a change of management?
I come to Chantara for the attention to detail and quiet environment but on this visit a large group of staff were talking very loudly in reception and things just seemed a bit “off”, eg dirty looking guest slippers and tiles that looked like they were falling off the wall. The treatment was just OK - in no way better than one one I had for 1/3 the price a few days before at a less “fancy” spa.
People are prepared to pay more for a quiet and luxe environment - well, I am! - but if it doesn’t deliver it just feels like a waste of money.

Chantara is the most amazing atmosphere to walk into.....it is a clean and quiet environment, with optional drinks before and after massages; Renae has given me 3 massages and each one has been deeply relaxing and not at all painful as the level of massage is asked by the therapists.....I will try to have as many as possibly can in my remaining time in Sanur.....

Very easy to book
Spotlessly clean, lovely and quiet ( no other people making noise and no road noise)

As soon as I entered the doors I knew I was in the right place. The staff are amazing. I was early and made to feel welcome with a delicious cup of tea. They were the first spa that I had visited, and they were the best. I started with a 90 minute deep tissue massage with an experienced therapist, and they cannot recommend it enough. As a former therapist myself I am very fussy about recommending any massage, however I definitely recommend these people. Afterwards I followed it up with the deeply healing and nourishing rose facial. If your skins are little bit older and dry like mine your skin will absolutely love this delicious treat of feeding your layers with nutritious life affirming lotions potions and vitamins.
