it was the second time i visited this temple, the first time was ten years ago.when i revisited Bali in September this year,i stayed in Lovina, and planned to explore singaraja again.so i had one day tour to singaraja and also its vicinity.the first spot i stop was this Chinese temple. it actually called Ling Gwan Kiong in Hokkien dialect. The temple close to the old sea port, which is another landmark in the town.Ling means soul, Gwan means origin or source, and Kiong means palace, Kiong always applied by Chinese temple name. the colour of this temple mostly in red, red is lucky colour for Chinese. the temple specifically honors Tan Hu Cin Jin,a local deity of the Indonesian Chinese.there is a story about Tan, it was believed that he had supernatural powers, very interesting. No entry fees apply here, and if you want to enter the inner part of the temple, please take off your shoes and keep silent.if you love history and culture of Singaraja, then you should visit this temple.

Pretty place to visit but you need a guide to tell you about it otherwise you are not entirely sure what you are visiting.

Loved this temple. Our guide told us quite a bit about it and we were lucky there were two wedding parties having their pictures taken. Their outfits were magnificent.
The temple was interesting with all its carvings and it was dated 5th century. Loved it !

Colorful Buddhist temple located in the former harbor area, there's no entrance fee, drop in and check it out...then continue to explore the area, there's a pier nearby with a couple of restaurants on it, nice and breezy!

Really bright coloured temple which is a stand out in the area as the only real splash of colour. Very informative guide. Undergoing some renovations but did not detract from our visit. Fresh water turtles were fun to watch.

On the waterfront at Singaraja and currently undergoing some work which will make it a very worthwhile place to visit, I think. We all found it very interesting and certainly colorful and also a good lesson in different religious groups coming together. When works are complete it will be easier to find and more fun for children. Have lunch at one of the restaurants over the ocean.

A nice change from the Hindu temples. Worth seeing, doesn't take long at all. Allow about 20 minutes.
