Fantastic experience with Bali Camel Safari. Booked through Samabe Villa and Suites.
5 of us on 3 camels, riding along the shoreline of the hotels private beach was unforgettable. Even better than our last camel ride in Dubai.
The team also took pictures and videos for us to remember the morning. Ride lasted 30mins or so.
Highly recommend this experience.
Would do this again in a heart beat!

Never again! The Camel that was behind me kept coming up beside me and then bite my foot. I alerted the staff members. Absolutely no care or concern for my injury. I rode the Camel with my 9 year old son. Grateful it got me and not him. Significant bruising on my foot. Ride at own risk,
Rode from Kempinski Hotel for approx 20 minutes.

If you want to know the feeling of riding camel and do not have any chance to go to middle east or north Africa soon, but to Bali instead, we recommend you to experience Bali Camel Safari. It is 30 minutes ride turnaround on Nusa Dua beach.
It is located in Hilton Hotel (previously Nikko) in Nusa Dua Bali. The access is from the hotel lobby. And start on 9.00 am.
But be advised since they have 5 camels and they have to go together at one time. You should experience it with at least one companion. And booking one month in advance is heavily suggested because it still in high demand. Especially for Japanese Tourist and Pre-wedding event.
If you like to take photographs. Do not worry. As long as you give a correct camera configuration, the herder will take the photos for you. Do it in hot and sunny weather though for maximum experience and best photos. After all it is only one time experience. And 30 minutes is enough. Trust me.

After my payment to the camel desk, a staff brought us to the beach and promptly disappeared. I tried calling the Nikko hotel, but apparently the camel safari is a third party operator renting the premises. I was bounced through phone calls with people speaking English, but not understanding what it means.
One of the camels provided was half dead. Whipping it just made it give up, sit and groan. I'm surprised it didn't roll over and die.
Please don't ruin your wedding shoot like mine.

These guys are just using the Hilton beach guests to make money. The beach that they take you down is filthy, under construction, and small. The camels are tired and worn out. I'm all for the adventure and excitement but the price for what you get is way over rated. Wouldn't recommend this honestly. Also check the construction equipment in the background.

I booked this excursion through our resort it was a great time!
The guides were great and the camels were hysterical. Also the camels really enjoyed posing for the camera.
Finally, the ride takes you along the ocean and the view is fantastic!
Really glad I booked it!

We stumbled on this camel ride in a tourist ad and took a chance. We were glad we did. First of all the price was very reasonable. We did a 30 minute ride which was more than enough time. The hotel this is out of is gorgeous... take a walk around and a few photos too. There are two guides for your ride. One leads the camels and the other will take photos for your with your phone or camera. The pics were so beautiful. You stroll along a beautiful beach. It's such a kick! We enjoyed the whole experience and I probably had 50 pics! It was great! Make sure you give them a tip. They were super nice and the camels appeared to be well taken care of.

Me and my friend, both two 21 year old girls went on the 30 min ride, camels were treated like crap, look very sick and worn out, very sad. The men walking with the camels made me feel VERY uncomfortable, all stared at us and whispered, and as soon as we got down to the beach i wanted to leave. Was a boring walk as well costing 40$ nzd, complete rip off. The part of the beach we walked down to was also very average, wouldn't do it again.

Coming from Australia I was a bit dubious about travelling all this way to ride a camel imported from my own country BUT it was a surprisingly enjoyable experience and one which the whole family appreciated.
We only did the 30min beach walk but found it provided enough time and adventure for our young girls. Rode from Hilton down past Ritz Carlton, beach has improved since others had reviewed because there was little rubbish and the one construction site has advanced. Anyway - why be gazing onshore when the views of beach, water and waves surpasses the alternative!
Thumbs up to the camel crew, the gents handled the camels professionally and used our own camera/phone to take some good photo's.
We recommend this experience to others.

My brother and I had a blast. It is 35 dollars per person for a half hour. If you want fun pics it is a must do. Our guide took 50 plus and they were all amazing.
Only down side is the beach area between the Hilton and the Ritz. A new hotel is currently being built but the beach is not maintained and contains a lot of trash. This is the only negative part of the experience.
