About
Visiting the Pasifika art collection is one of a time opportunity to relax in an oasis of tranquillity and to view an extraordinary collection of paintings and other artworks. It is housed in an exquisite modern Balinese building designed by Popo Danes, one of the most celebrated Balinese architect. There will be Indonesian and Balinese artworks but also numerous paintings by those bohemian artists who came from Europe and other parts of the world starting from the 1930s, succumbing to the spells of the enchanting tropical Island. Stroll in the well-manicured garden, take some selfies, taste local delicacies with a 'kopi Bali', and above all enjoy the art. For a complete Bali experience, come and visit Pasifika.

I visited the Museum Pasifika on the closing day for Bali Fashion Week by chance. As a fellow Fashion Designer, I was very impressed and even got to see the dress rehearsal of the closing fashion show for that evening. I was told I could purchase tickets to attend but I had already made plans for that evening. Due to the fact that two of the main galleries were closed to the public for Bali Fashion Week, the entry fee was half off. Unfortunately, this also meant the AC was turned off to conserve energy for the evening main gala event. I purchased my ticket and toured the entire museum solo as no one else was in the museum at the time of my visit. The artwork is amazing, consisting of paintings, clothing, weapons, sculptures and even historical costumes. I highly recommend you start here on your day trip to Nusa Dua.

Hallo Beetlejuice 32, Thank you for visiting the Museum Pasifika. You have already left a great comment on Tripadvisor Museum Pasifika. Museum Pasifika which is located in the tourism area of The Nusa Dua is very strategic to visit with a collection of masterpieces from world famous painters. Museum Pasifika which has 1 1 room with displayed collections such as paintings, statues and other historical objects that can add insight and knowledge about art and culture. The collections featured are from Asia Pacific. For the Bali International Fashion Week event in October 2022, we also provide special prices for visitors who want to visit the Museum Pasifika because not all of the rooms can be seen because some are used for fashion events. Inside the Museum Pasifika room there is no air conditioning because we are Museum Sustainable which reduces the use of air conditioning so that the humidity in the room temperature is maintained and we are also a restorer from Germany who helps us in maintaining the paintings. We recommend that you visit the Pasifika Museum in the afternoon and during the day it is expected to bring a fan. We hope that you will be impressed and enjoy the collections that we display as well as the atmosphere and facilities available at Museum Pasifika and our employees will be happy to assist you while you are at Museum Pasifika. Your review is very helpful for other visitors who want to visit the Pasifika Museum and we are waiting for your next visit when visiting Bali. Thank you, Regards

The art at the museum is definitely worth seeing, it provides a wonderful experience of art from and about the Bali area through the ages.
Installing air conditioning for the visitors comfort would be a welcome improvement, also with the hot and humid conditions it would also help control long term damage to some of the art works. Having recorded narratives to explain the history and providence of the major works in different languages of choice for hire would also be a good option. Walk in price is 100,000 for tourists, on the day we went booking in advance online was 62,000IDR. Worth seeing!

The Museum Pasifika, which is located in The Nusa Dua area, is one of the tourist destinations in the arts and culture. Our museum has 11 rooms with collections such as paintings, sculptures and other historical objects from Asia Pacific. Many visitors commented that the exhibition hall was a little hot and there was no air conditioning because of our Museum: 1. Sustainable Museum that reduces the use of air conditioning, 2. By not using air conditioning the humidity will be the same and not change - change, 3. And we have a conservator from Germany who can help to maintain the condition of the painting. For visitors who want to visit the Museum Pasifika, they can buy tickets online or directly on the spot, so that visitors are free to choose to purchase tickets. This museum holds the biggest painting exhibition I’ve seen so far in Bali. 11 rooms would take you through the art of painters from different countries of the world: both Asian and European. Most of the works are dated between 1840 and 1950. The rarest find was previously unknown to me portrait of Aleksander Pushkin, by Raden Saleh - the Indonesian painter who just couldn’t had been acquainted with the renowned Russian poet of the first half of the 19th century.

I strongly suggest visiting Pasifika museum for all connoisseurs of fine art.

Second time I visited the museum which is said to be the best paintings museum in South East Asia. Eleven spacious rooms with no direct outside light to reduce reflection. Lots of paintings by Balinese, Indonesian and (many) international painters. I love especially the Dutch paintings room with works from Hofker (my favorite painter), Bonnet, Nieuwenkamp, Le Mayeur (Belgian artist) ... Bali has many art museums but none if as well layed out and maintained as the Nusa Dua Pasika museum. See their website (I am not allowed to put the URL here) for more information.

A pleasant walk around the amazing art and artefacts, viewing the history through time and across cultures of Southern Asia and South Pacific areas.

I have to mention the quality of several picture frames, with the level of details in the sculptured timbers of the frame. Clearly many months of hard labour by many anonymous artists.

I've been some of the best museums in Europe but none could match museum pasifika's atmosphere. The gamelan music complemented the traditional artworks scene so well. Concise biography on some of the artists also enriched the overall artistic experience. 10/10 must visit!!

This is honestly one of my favorite museum.
The museum showcases world class collections in different thematic rooms, equipped with the audio explanation, each of artworks in this museum is very well curated and well arranged.
Most importantly I discover lot of things from their collections.

I guess this is the only museum that has ample parking space and handicap access. The building itself is well maintained. The staffs are very friendly and follow safety protocols.

Worth to visit while you are in Bali

Came to this museum by accident, were just passing by on our way to Devdan show.
We were absolutely amazed with the incredible art we saw inside. It was completely empty, so we got to enjoy it full in peace and quiet. Staff was very kind and helpful and I am just so sorry that this place is not visited more, it really deserves it.
There are many art works by famous international and local artists and one can really feel balinese spirit when looking at these amazing paintings.
