I was surprised!! At the beginning I was scared, but the instructors was really professional and explain us that it's totally safe because they took us to the safety place and fit with our level ( they explain while we enjoyed our aloha punch its welcome drink healthy smoothie, delicious!! They said that's for energy😁) .On the water I feel safe because they do 1 instructor with only 2 students, and with child they do 1 on 1. When they say safety number 1 is true. And not only that! They gave us coconut after surfing!! What a relieve! We analyze our movement..we took SURF package 6 lesson!! And definitely we come back again this july and will do photo n videos too this time!!!( maybe we try the SURF camp!) TOTALLY BEST SURFING EXPERIENCE ON OUR NEW YEAR!! Thank you Aloha Squad!!

We were surprised at how expensive the boards were on the beach. About 150,000 IDR for 1 hour! We wanted to surf all day and surf again later and this would cost more than surf guiding.... we were so lucky to find Aloha Bali Surf located on Jalan raya uluwatu in the middle of the bukit peninsula! What a great location to be in the center of some of the best waves in the world. They had a good selection of new and used boards and the best RENTAL prices that we could find on the island. Even better than the shops in Cangu that had a million board rental places. All shops ask for Identification as deposit or credit card. This shop asked for a copy of that and no deposit. They did offer insurance if the board is broken too by paying double the price of the board only. So this beat all other shops also. Other shops asked for the full price of the board as the deposit- obviously they don't trust the customers, but at Aloha all was done with a smile and gave you a great feeling of trust and like family type of feeling that they really care for our happiness while in Bali. AND they had the best coffee of all places in Bali and we been here for over 2 month! Our kids had their Hawaiian Shaved Ice and we even had lunch here with their home made tortillas that rolled up the best tacos ever! They even had a Taco Bag that you were able to walk away and was perfect for our 5 year old. They had the zinc and sunscreens we needed, gave us a leash, wax and fins for free to use the board. They had all the surf accessories you needed. AND more they had the best mixed juices ever and can make any juice you can think of and tea! and the beer price was beating all prices on the island. They even offered us a room for 12 dollars with breakfast at their Surf n Yoga camp down the street. They say they keep their prices low cause they don't believe in marketing and are growing and doing their Aloha with natural growth and good vibes!

Thank you so much for your kind words as before some Russian man came so rude and asking discounts and treating my local workers with disrespect! And I felt so bad as it was our first bad review.

Sometimes there are no surfboard rentals on the beach, so you are thinking about some place like Aloha, which is always on the crossroads to the spots. Everything went wrong from the beginning, starting with scarce availability of boards, continuing with “client service”.. So, at first, it’s written about 100 rupiah for every surf rental, but actually it’s 150, and furthermore, surprisingly they do not except cards in the morning.. wow, for tripadvisor’s certificate of excellence it’s something new. There are no half-day tariffs, or maybe there are, but sales guy has been telling us just one phrase - 150 rupiah. Moreover, that sales guy gave us this board totally glassy without any waxing, we looked at him, waiting for something to change, but it was not his responsibility to prepare board for that price... At least he gave us some wax, but after a while he came and took small peace back, even though this board needed some extra preparing on the beach and later for a 24 hour period.. To make this rent even better, he has not just only took my driving license, but also said, that after one case with Russian customers, which did not bring board back, they leave your documents. Interesting attitude, but the most interesting thing is that there is a police department just next to the store and usually they stay there on the road to check your driving license..) In this kind of rentals, usually they just make a pic or scan of your document and make a standard contract with you credentials. And that’s why you except cards, so you can block a certain amount for a surfboard rent. But this time everything was different. Worst experience.

Aloha This is horrible to hear- there are only 2 rental places in the bukit Bali and we both take ID to secure our boards that some cost up to 1000 usd same as white monkey down the road. Our prices start at 100k per day and max 200k per day depending on the board you choose- so you can rent the board as early as 9am and bring it back the next day by 6pm so gives you more than 24 hours!!! On the beach the hourly rate is 75k so why you complaining about price!!! The board you rented was 200k per day and we gave it to you for 150k and offered you a bar of wax but you didn’t want to pay for it so the shopkeeper gave you his personal wax. We also give you 2 free days if you rent the board for 7 days. And as far as the police is concerned that we have no control over but we don’t ever take an ID if you are in need of it . This is a price if less than 7 usd per day and you’re saving over 100 dollars as compared to renting on the beach so why complain?! And hope you now have a better understanding of the situation. And thanks for your review as that doesn’t help and would had been better to call me as the shopkeeper was asking you to do but you refused.

Had an amazing time, went twice for a morning session with Niko, he picked me up in my hotel, good vibes, good advice, helped get on the board and challenge me to learn more. Went to Padang Padang and he knew his way between the other surfers so never felt too crowded. Definitely recommend.
