Welcome to Bali's first and only fully equipped "Classical" Pilates Studio Sunset Pilates Studio offers personalised training by highly skilled certified instructors. Our focus is to educate our clients on the true Pilates Method and to carry the benefits into your daily lives. For any age, body type and fitness level, Pilates is a safe and effective whole body workout.

I am 63 years old lady and joined Pilates Teacher Training at Sunset Pilates program this year. After half program (not completed yet), I feel that I am getting stronger and discipline to myself.
My knowledge of body awarness to correct my scoliocis body, boarden and bulit.
Learning of human bones and muscles structure, give me understanding how body function and support for teaching pilates.
I feel more confident to be Pilates teacher. Thank you to Nancy for your dedication and patient.

Visited studio three times whilst on a one week holiday in Bali. Studio is of the highest standard, spacious, with an abundance of natural light. The studio equipment is modern and well maintained. We did both matt and reformer class and both instructors were of a high standard. This studio is as good as it gets and if you love Pilates, definitely worth a visit or two.

I've been there just about every day during my Bali hollidays. Had great reformer classes. the teaching is excellent. reformers are great and the studio perfect. Working with a view on the rice fields is quiet an experience....

Typical asian knock off. If you want a gentle stretch session go here. If you want Pilates, better to look elsewhere.

Great parking, easy access from most areas around Denpasar. It's really clean and amazingly well equipped. I had 10 private classes with Rachel and couldn't be more happy. She was very intuitive, listened really well, did a lot of research and was just a really lovely person. She has really improved my movement and allowed me to be relatively pain free from a long time injury.
It's expensive but I feel like I'm paying for a really superior skill level I don't think I'd get anywhere else

I have the privilege of doing private classes with Rachel - they are the highlight of my week! As a busy mum of two, having 'me' time is had to come by, and I often arrive at my lesson tired and stressed out! After my one hour class, I leave energised, confident and ready to face the week ahead...starting Pilates has been one of the best decisions I've ever made, thank you Rachel and all the Sunset Pilates team!

This review is for the Teacher Training Course provided in this studio.
Short: SCAM, GREEDY TEACHER AND PLAGIARIZED DATED CONTENT, SELF STUDY PILATES COURSE
Usually this course is taught in groups of 4-5 people but when I requested private training, the teacher Nancy asked to do a private session with her in order to determine if I am strong enough to take up the course.
Coincidentally, the teacher Nancy also teaches in another studio in Bali and saw my moment in the pilates reformer class. I paid 300,000 rupiah. She still asked me to come for another session so we can talk about the course etc, I paid 500,000 rupiah for it. She basically went over the course with me and quoted 60 million rupiah for full pilates training.
After lot of going negotiating, we decided on 55 million rupiah and the money went straight to the teacher's account. I was told that the money will be split in two between the teacher and the owner. Not sure why the money is going into teacher's account and not sunset pilates account.
Impressed by the teacher's background I paid the money and started the course. I was a given a huge binder with all the random pilates information collected from the internet. It is all pirated copied information without any table of contents or number pages. There is no video reference and the information is older than 30 years ago. I once suggested a better course material to the teacher and instead of taking the feedback, she got offended.
As I was the only one, I was supposed to attend 6 sessions of 3 days of 4 hours each. The teacher will read the information from the pirated binder and show me the pilates exercise for first one hour and expected me do pilates for next 3 hours continuously. This was supposed to go on for 3 days straight.
I heard another Spanish student signed up for Mat Pilates private course and stopped coming after first session. The receptionist gossiped about the girl and told me she is asking for refund and that teacher Nancy is not providing any.
As the course structure is extremely poor and does not make any sense, the teacher suggested me to spend more money and attend her group classes in the morning to get more practice.
I have never in my life given up on a course but this was the first time I gave up after 3 sessions as I was not learning anything and self study course of pilates did not make any sense to me. I asked for half refund, but the teacher refused. I asked to be spoken to the owner, the teacher refused. Instead she blocked me and lied to me that the Spanish girl who left just got sick and will come back, even thought I have written proof of gossip and I know this is a scam that is being run by the company.
I apologize for a long review, but please don't be a fool like me or other students. There are well structured online courses available for 200,000 rupiah or free. They provide how to videos and proper certification. This studio is not even recognized and is just scamming people. I am from Canada and I showed that binder to the Pilates Teachers here and they literally laughed at me for paying so much for a garbage course with poor instructions.
I am pretty sure the owner has no idea about the scam that is being run by the teacher and the receptionist.
Since the content is all plagiarized and none of it belongs to studio, if anyone of you want to see it, I can send you the whole binder link by email. Don't waste you money, in the end you will be asked to look the binder and learn from it.
I am also attaching proof of payment to the teacher and still waiting for my refund.

I was delighted my villa referred me to this studio and took me there for 3 of my 5 days' holiday. They run private or small group classes (only 4 reformers in total). Nancy was the instructor, she was a little stern but extremely good with technique and variety. I liked that she didn't provide too many repetitions and kept it interesting. A lot of core work. The reformers were a little lighter and less solid that the usual metal, heavy to the floor one I use. I only began 6 moths ago so had to modify some of the exercises for a beginner but got a good workout and felt great after.

I was so happy when I found out about Sunset Pilates. The only place in popular Canggu, a grest contrast to the numerous yoga and crossfit studios - Sunset Pilates is really filling that need.
If you haven't tried it - this is a great place to start. A stunning, clean and fresh studio.with sunlight pouring in, located in the middle of Berawa.
Hidden inside The Joglo means its also a great place to have a healthy breakfast and the best coffee Ive ever had in Bali! Or a delicious local meal by the infamous Made's Waung family group.
While you get your pilates on - you can leave your kids and husband downstairs in the playground. We were there on a sunday and a clown was ballon making for the children! Everyone happy!
And if that is not enough - fancy a cardio workout - they got that too! Head above Sunset Pilates to ROAR fitness the rooftop studio for Barre, Bootcamp, Yoga and Kids Yoga.
Everything is truly under one roof!
