My family visited recently with a few other families from Australia (kids ranged from 1 to 12). I have to say I visit a lot of amusement parks and water parks all over the world . . . and I was highly skeptical about visiting (especially since we visited right after COVID re-opening). I was especially worried about Safety etc. Without a doubt this was the best Water Park I visited (compared with USA and AUS) and I was very impressed by all the safety related aspects. The crew manning the rides were exceptionally professional, friendly, and safety-oriented. I found the food and drinks were also excellent . . . although the pricing was higher than I became used to in Bali (Still much better priced than AUS) so bring some cash or credit card (that can swipe). Also, they have photgraphers at each ride and a photo-writeband system. The photos were fantastic! Very highly recommend Waterbom!

Loved it. Two girls from England, we arrived around 10am and left around 5pm.
The food there was good; chicken burger and chips. Everything on wrist bands. Good mixture of rides, to go on yourself alone, or with someone.
We went on numerous rides more than once. Would advise to get there early, as it gets busier around 12. Queues get longer. However around 4 it starts to go quiet again, as all the early birds leave. Can easily spend a full day there if you want, or you can do it in half a day. All the staff are so lovely and helpful. To add, food wasn’t badly priced either, but couple of tax and service add ons when you buy things (can be a bit steep 20%)

Waterbom was a great addition to our family trip to Bali. Booking online saved us money on the tickets, the process was easy to follow, and we even got an exception to bring food in for our son who is on a strict medical diet. For the rest of us, the food in the park was outstanding. I recommend renting a gazebo- having a central place to store things, have food delivered, etc. was really nice for our family. Staff was excellent and always available, rides were well maintained and equipment was all in good order. Couldn't have asked for a better experience at an amusement/water park.

Waterbom is fantastic! Great day out for all age groups and something for everyone! Staff are so friendly and were always making my kids laugh. The lady in the top-up kiosk went and got our towels for us and looked after them so that nobody would take them.
Food was delicious, hot and well priced….we spent over 6 hours there and could have easily stayed another 6!
I had an 9yr old and a 7yr old and they loved every second :)

We had been told in advance that Waterbom was very good but that does a disservice to just how much our family enjoyed our visit. We were fortunate to be able to hire a gazebo, which served as a great base for us and our friends who joined us.
The staff were all very pleasant, the variety of food suited all diets, the park was clean and the rides were a lot of fun. We had been warned that we were going on one of the busiest days but still we found all the queues manageable and nowhere near as long as at other water parks we had been to in Florida for example.
We spent close to 9 hours there with kids between the ages of 8 and 11 and we would have happily spent longer. At the end of the day we decided to check out our photos and again the staff were super helpful allowing us to clump a bunch together in the e-package.
Finally I want to commend Waterbom for how much foliage was in the park and for their efforts to conserve water and refill the water table in Kuta. It was so pleasant to be there.
If in Bali again, we will definitely return!

This was a great day. There were so many rides, and as it was a weekday, the lines were not long. Had three families attend, with teenagers from 14 to 19 years old. The staff were very helpful and there was a HUGE range of dining options, at VERY reasonable prices (Australian parks, take note). Can book online.

We visited during the CoVid19 drop in Asia tourism, so there was virtually no waiting for rides. When the family gets to just run around this place doing 4 or 5 slides an hour, you get your money’s worth.
Online booking for the 15% discount was an absolute nightmare of denied credit card transactions numbering but when I called Guest Relations, the polite and friendly staff told me how to send them an email and begin the process of getting the discount rate on arrival at the park. So it worked out.
But KrisFlyer frequent fliers need to know that they get the 15% internet discount as well. All this stuff has to begin with guest relations desk, so phone ahead and begin with them.
At the park: friendly staff everywhere help make the experience fun for everyone. Family sanity assured by reserving a gazebo, which is not only a secure place to keep your stuff, make the family meeting place in case of losing each other, and becomes a private dining Pavillion because the restaurants can deliver your food orders there!!!!!!! These are not spacious, and you sit Javanese style on the floor with an itty bitty table, but they are so worth it!!
Rides n slides: very good! World class, if slightly inferior to massive variety of California’s Raging Waters in San Dimas or the Old-School raucous fun of NZ’s Waiwera.
Yes, you will mess up your neck or back or both on Boomerang, if not built like a rugby player. Yes, you will spend at least a quarter of your day climbing stairs to get to the top of some of these. Yes, some of Waterbom’s slides are ridiculously scary, but boredom is impossible.
Weird but true note: slide called Pipeline is ridiculously hot inside (and it is a small tube) so ride it early in the day before it gets all stuffy and oven-like inside. It’s translucent and just seems to hold a lot of heat. One of the longest, funnest solo rides at the park, though.
Food is not bad; in fact it’s miles ahead of amusement park food in terms of quality and variety. Thaitalian restaurant had good small salads and the hot dogs at the grill place were huge. Young coconuts for drinking were Rp39,000 each... no bargain considering they’re Rp12,000 all around the island, but what theme park in America will chop the top off a fresh young coconut of your choosing?
Massages, hair braiding, manicure and pedicure were all available but not a lot of space for these, and so you should get in a booking early in your day there, if you want one.
Until mid-May, there’s a generous discount for a second day, of which we all gladly took advantage. You actually have a week to use it! 2 days in a row there was great fun; I recommend it while queues are at the barest minimum.

This was our fourth trip to Bali and Waterbom is always a must for the kids. Now that they’re older they’re keen to try different slides.
Would highly recommend paying the extra to hire a kabana as it gives you a place to chill, meet & relax if you’re done with the activities

Went here with my partner and we both had a great time on all the slides. It was also nice there was a lazy river option where you could just float around and relax. The only disappointing part of the day was when we left, a staff member recommended us to a driver who tried to charge us 5 times the amount that it cost us to get there, to get back to the same hotel. If you do need to get a driver back I would not recommend taking the drivers in the car park.

Hi, I'd like a current recommendation on whether it is better to visit Waterbom on a weekend (e.g. Sunday) or weekday (e.g. Monday or Tuesday). We are visiting in September.
The 'typical' logic is that the water park will be less busy on a weekday and more crowded during the weekend; When I read reviews on google and tripadvisor, I also see most people saying it was not too crowded on a weekday. However, on waterbom's website and customer service, they recommend the opposite, i.e. that Monday is busier than Sunday.
Does anyone have recent experience and can share with us? :) We really don't want to spend a long time queueing for rides.

Yes we read that Monday can be busy but we didn't find it too busy when we went. Get there early if you want to get a gazebo and go straight to the back of the park and do the really popular rides first before the crowds arrive. We have been several times and it is never as busy as water parks in Australia.

If you buy a ticket without the gazebo, etc where do you sit? Are there chairs, loungers etc?

Hi Tracy Lombard
There are plenty of sun lounges scattered around the park.
If you want lounges near the main or kid's pool, it's best if you get there when they open. There are also quite a few lounges in a grassed area which is away from the action and this area always seems to have a few vacant. I once tried to move the sun lounge from the grassed area to be closer to the pool, but they stopped me.
You will have a great time there.
Enjoy and happy travels.

I'm trying to buy a ticket for this but trip advisor is saying we can't today? It's only 11am?
I went on their website but didn't like handing over all my bank details including my birthday date, bank id number etc. Can we just rock up there and purchase a ticket at the gate?

We always just buy at the gate. We usually get there at opening (9am) and get sun lounges next to the swim up bar in the main pool. There is plenty of shade there with umbrellas and find the central location easier for the kids to find their way back. We got a gazebo once but hardly used it.
Is there wheelchair access?
Kate N

Yes there is. Best to contact Park via website though to see the extent of that access.
Can you book a gazebo via TripAdvisor or do you have to book direct with the park?
Hi,
We did all our bookings online via the Waterbom website, including the gazebo.
My understanding is that when booking via trip advisor it’s your general entry fee. You can then either go to the Waterbom site and use your ticket ref to book a gazebo, or, if you rock up early enough head to the area inside the park to pay for one if any left. Gazebos include a safe.
There are recliners scattered around for general use - again first in 😊
Hope that helps.

guys about tickets prices... i want to buy a total package but i am hesitated... i dont care about neither flow rider nor lunch
what i care about are photos.. does it worth to pay more 500,000 idr per person to get photos ??
Ozzie T
Perth, Australia8,747 contributions
Hi Ahmed Z
You will have to pay for the photos in addition to the entrance fee. I was just there this week and I paid IDR185,000 for one photo. The food and flow rider are also at additional cost.
If you are going to utilise the facilities and spend the day there, I think it is worth it. If you are just there for photo, then it is a very expensive photo. For some great photos go to Big Garden Corner, there are so many fantastic photos to be taken there.
