The atmosphere inside the spa was very comforting and quiet and low ambient of lights. We almost fall asleep thru the 90 min service and wish we could stayed there longer. I am going to really miss this place! We came here everyday during our holiday for a massages The staff are so friendly and the ambiance is amazing. All the hustle and bustle outside just fades away and it’s the perfect escape from the heat of the day. If you are Kuta and want a massage or spa treatment then is the the place!!

Where do I even begin, firstly I want to thank my sister for taking me here back in November 2019 just before COVID hit, we recently returned in October for our mother's 70th birthday.
This place is not only inviting, it's friendly, clean, refreshing and so relaxing.
Your staff are so welcoming and friendly, at times we got a bit loud laughing at each other, my bad it was my fault 😂.

I went to Smart yesterday to get my hair done and I am so so so happy! Ariel did such an amazing job. I’m honestly happier than with my normal hairdresser at home. Was a bit worries about getting my blonde hair done in Bali but it could not have been better. My boyfriend got a massage while I was there and he really enjoyed himself as well. To not even mention how cute the saloon is, a s the prices are definitely reasonable. Thank you!

I have had eyelash extensions for 2 years and never experienced anything like today at "smart spa". It took her around 45 minutes to do it, when it usually takes around 2 hours. When I saw myself in the mirror it was clear why it was done so fast.. Not even one eyelash was separate from another, just loads of glue and bunches of 10-15 eyelashes sticked together!!! It felt like she just put a lot of glue and sticked fake ones in a line. In the beginning I thought that it could be fixed, but when she started to cut them off I realized that she had no clue how it should be done at all... In the end it cost me a lot of tears and half of my real eyelashes because they didnt have working glue remover.. All in all a very bad experience!

I visited Smart day spa near Kuta Square on 13. September 2015 and had a terrible experience of balinese neck and back massage. The young woman performing the massage had absolutely no idea what she was doing. The massage was lazy at best, leaving bruises at worst. I have her finger marks in my arms. Terrible experience. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Do not recommend for Smart Signature Packages.
Went there for a Smart Signature Packages. The masseur was not enthusiastic and expecting for the tip. The masseur applied the scrub material without rubbing on the body and told me that to let the scrub material soaking on the body. A bad experience with this spa.

Now there's 2 Smart dayspa, the one we went to nearly everyday when we were in Kuta is the one with hair salon in front, then the reflexology area and body treatment/facials at the back. We stayed at Ramayana so the other one without the salon is closer but we've never gone in there as most therapists were males and it didn't look anything like the one in Legian rd. My partner who has kind of dark blondish wavy hair had his best hair cut with the male hairdresser at the salon in Legian Rd (kuta) At about $9 we were abit worried but thought 'oh well, its only $9 to throw away and hair will grow back' But to our surprise, the hairdress did an excellent job, paid alot of attention to my partner's hair and it turned out to be the best hair cut. They have females hairdressers there too but I don't know what they'd be like. I had my pedicure while he had his hair cut and the lady who looked after me was called 'Tari'? I think, it was just the best! So then we went back the very next day, I had Creambath (hair treatment) and manicure done while my partner had reflex for an hour. The lady who did my head massage was just the best. It truely was the best head, neck massage. I normally don't like head massage as I have long hair and sometimes they tend to pull it too much but her technique was just divine! The very young girl (she looks about 14-15) who did my manicure on the other hand, though was very lovely, probably not as experienced. My partner said his reflex was just the best one ever. So apart from the lovely young teenage girl who will probably get very good with abit more experience, all other staff there seem to be really really good at what they do.
Before we left for Kuta, I searched and search for salons etc to go to and found it so difficult to work out the best one that's cheap and easy to get to so that's why I thought this to be necessary. Just make sure you don't go to the wrong Smart spa as I can't comment on that one. Prices ranges from $6-$10 depending on what you have done at the one we went to. The salon is modern looking and aircon (That's what made us go inside as it was very presentable inside and out unlike some of the other salons there) If we go back to Kuta, we'd be there everyday. I would go as far as finding a hotel nearby just to be able to do that! The atmosphere in there is relaxing, modern and clean, staff are friendly and professional, they don't start talking to each other during treatment like some of the other place. Highly recommended!

I went to Smart Day Spa located in Legian, it caught both the eyes of my partner and myself.
Our first visit was very nice, I had the slimming massage and my partner had a Swedish massage and they placed us in the same room together which was also very nice to experience with him. Both massages were very good, a little on the pricier side but I thought worth it.
We decided to go back again the day we were expected to fly back home for a last minute relaxing treat.
HOWEVER, this was far from a relaxing treat. We had the 1hr Foot massage which included a head and shoulder massage as well. The lady that was massaging my partner was asking us a lot of questions which eventually started to question us about our sex life. I remained tight lipped and awkwardly laughed it off hoping she would stop so Darren and I started talking amongst ourselves instead. This did not prevent her from asking further questions about our sex life, and who often we had sex, and who was the instigator.
We were obviously very vague in our responses and hardly responded at all as we felt quite uncomfortable.
Then she continued by telling us about her life story - she is in her 2nd marriage and has 4 kids, but 2 of those she doesn't see as they are with her ex. I said that must be hard and I was sorry to hear that to which she replied "I don't care, I have 2 new ones now" which was quite shocking and even the other workers had told her off for that comment also.
She then started telling us about how she is secretly seeing an Australian man who visits with his family - wife who is from London, and 3 boys who are in their late 20's. This man has something to do with motor cross or something along those lines she wasn't sure. She continued to say how this man and his wife would come in for a massage and he would take him into a separate room to go about their 'business' and have his wife taken into another room to be massaged by someone else without him (obviously).
She continued to say that his wife is so stupid, even though I tried to shut the conversation down and say that this wasn't correct and that any normal person wouldn't think twice as to whether their partner was being unfaithful while they were getting massages at the same place? and she was firm and said "no she's stupid, I would've run in there and tried to catch him out".
By this point I was feeling extremely uncomfortable, we were 45mins into our massage by this time and awkward silence occurred after this.
We were asked to turn around for our head massage, and she whispered to him "Do you like doggy style" - he didn't hear this, but I did! I turned around and looked at her quite shocked. She then giggled and said oops and I turned my head back forward. She then whispered in his opposite ear a lot quieter so I couldn't hear "Do you like doggy style" in which he awkwardly laughed and said yeah and she said again "Yes? You like doggy style? Me too'
A lot of people would say I'm sure "Why didn't you say anything?" well my partner and I are quiet people and to be honest we did not know how to handle the situation.
We are absolutely disgusted and will NEVER go back here again. and will warn others about our experience.
For an upmarket Salon / Spa, we are absolutely appalled by the unprofessionalism - we spend a lot of money to get quality service, and this is NOT ON!

I wanted to refill my eyelash extensions while in Bali, and after reading a review on this spa I was quite hesitant to go there, but I am so happy I did! Desak did an amazing job and the price was really reasonable! The entire staff was really friendly and helpful and the manager is clearly doing a good job at running the salon. I would highly recommend this spa.

After looking forward to a spa we were very disappointed and came away feeling uncomfortable.
The idea of a male masseur was not an issue however it became obvious that other staff were watching the massage. Whats more hands went further than I'd like and made us feel uncomfortable and almost had to ask them to stop. When we were getting dressed two other male staff were watching through a gap in the curtain.
Due to all the above we could not relax and would not return.
