This mall has changed a lot since before COVID. There used to be big hall full of Bali souvenirs, clothes and handicrafts that is now gone. We were primarily interested in clothes and souvenirs so we did not explore much. The main floor is upscale shops. The mezzanine is smaller clothing shops and a smattering of souvenirs. We asked around and were directed to the bottom floor. I forget the name, but this is a big mid range department store. Go down the escalator and go to the far left hand corner of the store. There you will find a really good assortment of quality Bali handicrafts at surprisingly reasonable prices (fixed). Not all the usual ticky tacky stuff of many shops. You can exit directly to the street through the glass doors to the right of this area.

Visited with another couple from the ship. We headed to Matahari and SOGO, they visited SOGO and M & S. Everyone happy with their purchases, I left them to have a look elsewhere in the complex and check if anything new since our previous visit. More new outlets and others still being outfitted, and I enjoyed an ice cream from ColdStone Creamery.

Improving after pandemic. Good to find Matahari here after sadly seeing its abandoned shell in Kuta Square. Better value shops than pristine expensive Beachwalk complex. Amazed to see locals playing basketball on court at rear beach entry .. in blazing heat and sliding around on the sandy hard court.

The Discovery Mall was very nice, with a variety of places to shop and eat. The bakery Bread Shop was excellent. And buy a few Emina Magic Potion lip tints in the colors you like at the Walgreens-like store in the mall. I fell in love with the ONE I bought, for around $3. Yeah, Amazon sells them, for about $12 and $10 in shipping. This shows a lack of prep on my part, but the beach outside the mall was disappointing. Do your research to find a nice beach, especially if your time is limited.

Great to see Discovery Mall is almost back to pre-Covid days, there are not too many vacant locations remaining. Matahari, SOGO and M&S are likely the anchor tenants, but the many smaller outlets offer great variety at competitive prices. Glad that we both had room in the suitcases for the flight home as my wife found lots to interest her in the pharmacies (they do sell more than pharmaceuticals). We both managed to find suitably sized clothing in Matahari and mementoes for friends in OZ.

There are some good stores here and there were bargains to be found. I got a beautiful beach dress for $15 aud. There were mens shirts with 50% off and 70% off in one store. There's a marks and sparks, Giordano, Payless, lots of clothing, jewellery. if you're an Aussie or vibes like a myer. There's a whole lounge section for visitors to sit at with tea and coffee and snacks all free. On one level there are chairs facing out onto the beach so you can watch the waves from air conditioned comfort. Definitely worth a visit.

visited the discovery mall in the Kuta area, which is quite a large mall with a large parking area. Entering inside is very spacious with views of the beach in the area behind the mall. we sat in one of the stalls ordering snacks and drinks while waiting for the sun to go down. so we were very happy to be able to visit here .

Entry via the road or ocean promenade. Plenty of authentic shops, market stalls, and department stalls. You can effectively find everything you need including pharmacy needs . I really enjoy the fixed prices and a great gauge for what you should expect or get better for similar goods while shopping at market vendors off site.
