This beach located near hotel we stayed at (Ayana) and once we had chance to visit it. I want to say the sunset was so beautiful. Only downside there are many rocks so prepare wear right shoes and don't expect to play in water on that beach its dangerous.

Don’t let the 5 star ratings and all the perfectly angled Instagram shots fool you, Tegal Wangi is nothing but trash from years of awful tourists. You’d be better off going to one of the restaurants or beach clubs if you want to enjoy the beauty of a Bali sunset. There used to be a parking area there but a concrete wall was erected right down the middle. There are signs on the other sign saying not to enter.

This tiny beach is located in a very scenic spot, however the usual plastic pollution is very visible and for that I cannot give the otherwise well deserved 5 stars...easy enough to reach here, it's at the end of a well paved road then a small path down...I just took a gojek there from jimbaran beach, then leisurely walked back

I've been here twice, this beach is know for the 'private beach' of the Ayana Resort in Jimbaran. It has no entrance fee, it's suitable for those who wants to see the sunset because we have to walk down the stair from a cliff to get to the beach.
You can enjoy the sunset from the cliff since it'll starting to have its high-tide. The beach wont be too crowded until 4pm. It has its 'natural pool' i love to chill in it

This beach is included on our itinerary - The best beaches of Bali by Abadi Bali Transport.
This beach is so beautiful and breath taking view. You can just swim, surf and chill out. With the sound of its wave 🌊 you can really relax. But bring food and drinks if you are planning to stay here for a day. It is also near the Uluwatu Temple

Its not a commercial beach like Pandawa beach and thats the beauty of it.. a secluded beach mainly flocked by the locals as its a little tricky and dangerous to reach to the beach as you have to climb down the cliff on to the rocks overlooking the ocean to your right as you climb down!!
Its beautiful, serene and the main attraction is the small cave which has been the hot favourite and instagrammable because of the amazing picturesque cave it creates specially during sunrise / sunset !
I would surely recommend to visit this place and capture those special moments with your friends and family during sunset or sunrise and be ready to amaze the jaw dropping captures you are going to take!

A quiet little place far from the maddening crowd - that is for now! Probably could sit quietly for a spell to enjoy the beach, blue sky and white roving clouds .... without any body trying to sell you a blanket, a hat, a rental of folding chair. How about some cold drink and a massage to go along. Well, there is none! Wonder!

I don't think you can walk from Intercon. It's near Ayana Resort. and no public transport available nearby. better rent bike or car.

Hi! I plan to have my pre-wedding photos at Bali in mid July, and have decided to go to Tegal Wangi Beach as one of our shooting location, may I know if there's a location fee charged and if so, how should we pay the fee?
Thanks
Kathy

Hi Kathy,
There's no fee charged at Tegal Wangi Beach when we visited end of June 2015. However, in the future I guess that there may be something because I saw they have built a big gate and painted some parking lots inside the gate (but gate not locked and nobody watching the gate at the moment :-)). It's a small, natural and beautiful beach. Some people say it's dangerous and difficult to get down but we found it ok. Even my youngest kid (8 years old) still can walk down to the beach.
Hope you have a good time and get many beautiful pre-wedding pics there.
cheers,
Huong Le
