Great place to hit your caffeine quota
A great place to experience. The guide is friendly and explains how balinese coffee is made and also the luwak coffee. She then let us try 13 types of coffee and tea. Luwak coffee would be extra 50k rupiah but it was a great experience drinking it. My favourite were the ginseng coffee and mangosteen tea. High recommend!

    Exceptional - informative and enjoyable
This experience in Bali was excellent. Our guide Dewi was exceptionally informative and knowledgeable. We were able to see the coffee beans from tree to cup and learn about the process. Also chocolate and many fruits and spices. We also were given a wide range of coffees and teas to sample. All of them were delicious and I’m not a coffee drinker! It’s exceptionally humbling to learn how ignorant I am about our common foodstuffs and their origins. A fascinating part of our holiday. Dewi was also a lovely person and willing to answer my million questions!

    Entertaining talk + free tastings
Very entertaining talk on coffee making process given by our guide with lots of bad jokes. Only farmers cooperative owned plantation. Free tasting of 12 different coffee/tea flavors plus can buy a cup of luwak coffee for 50 rupiahs. Naturally there's a gift shop. We had no weight issues with the coffee/tea packets sold (as mentioned in some other reviews) Enjoyable experience at no cost unless choose a cup of luwak coffee or to buy from shop.

Tourist trap. Don't buy anything, the coffee and tea they sell can be found at much lower prices in the shops in town. They only take you on a short tour where you see the coffee plants and they show you the mongoose in the cage but you don't see the
Coffee plantations.

The person who welcomed us was very nice. We tasted their teas and coffees and left with over 120% of good teas and coffees that we had supposedly tasted!
Arriving in France, we realized the scam, the teas are a kind of powder... in short, we were really fooled!!!!
Not recommended!
We did not appreciate the 2 poor animals in a cage, and did not want to buy this coffee.

Best plantation in Ubud, and I've been to a few. The free tasting was absolutely incredible and the free guides were so friendly and knowledgeable. It's also great to be confident that the place is owned by local Balanese farmers, and the Luwak coffee is actually produced in a sustainable and ethical way. I wouldn't go anywhere else for your tastings!

Do not bother underweight products, every pack upon coming home was under weight tell any driver that wants you to go to this place just say no.

You can buy the same stuff at the markets for half the price. But being Bali nothing is regulated.

We called in here as part of a day out and it was amazing. I'm so glad we did visit it. We walked down the pathway through the various plants/jungle. Saw a couple of civets. Then came to an area where women were heating and grinding various coffee beans. Then shown to a table with amazing views over the plantation. On the table were lots of cups of different teas and coffees for us to taste. You really must try the Kopi Luwak even if the thought turns your stomach. It's actually rather nice. Then you can go and have a wonder round the shop on site. We got a bit carried away here and spent more than we intended but now we are home I'm so glad we did as we both love the teas.

We went to this place with our driver and had a nice time on the brief tour. I did become a bit concerned when I saw the cats in the cage. I mean I get the concept of what Luwak coffee is; so to see them caged made me a bit uncomfortable because it could mean others were caged as well just not where we could see them. We even asked the girl why they were moving around the cage so much and she told us they were hungry (again this did not inspire confidence)

After the tour we tried the samples and I loved a few of their teas and some of the flavored coffee so I was very interested in buying some. The coffee Luwak was ok but not so amazing that I wanted to take home a ton of it and feel like I may be contributing to God knows what with the animals.

So instead we ended up spending close to 100 dollars on different kinds of tea they offer including turmeric tea which is attractive to me because it is a very powerful anti-inflammatory. I also loved the ginger tea and the lemongrass tea because it always settled my stomach when I drank it in Bali.

However, when I got home and opened the packages I realized that everything is mixed up with sugar crystals. Not a little bit of sugar but, A LOT OF SUGAR CRYSTALS. They don't put this on the packaging or explain that a good portion of the weight of the product you are purchasing is just good old fashioned white table sugar. They just give you samples to taste and lead you to the store. I assumed the samples were sweetened but that the product purchased (sold in grams) was only the powder or herbs to make the actual tea and I would be able to use either honey at home or not sweeten at all.

If you are buying tea and want to have a healthy drink, putting in a ton of sugar really defeats the purpose, and for the price I suggest finding a reputable organic source that will sell you just the main ingredient you are looking for and not fill in half the bag with stuff that's bad for you.

I feel completely cheated out of my money. If I wanted sugar I can purchase that at the supermarket for much less. What a ripoff ...

Dont get ripped off by these Lewak coffee guys. Lewak coffee is a scam because real lewak is good only because the cats feed on only the best coffee beans that they select in the wild.

What lewak has become is the cats are caged and fed beans - there is no selection of the best ones.

Simply going through the bowels of a cat has NOTHING to do with the flavour of the coffee
