This tour was not just about cooking and food, but also about the Balinese culture and people. We were picked up by an incredibly happy smiley man who claimed to be 42 years old but we honestly think he mixed the numbers up because he looked closer to 24! Must be all that healthy food and no Bintangs... We chatted... More

Green Kitchen cooking class was absolutely amazing! Jero picked us up from our hotel in ubud, we then visited a market, next stop we were shown around his nice home and village, lastly we trekked through the rice patties and collected some food for the cooking. Our whole group chose the vegetarian menu and the food was phenomenal. Jero was... More

A stunning day from start to finish! We were picked up from Ubud, driven to a big locals market, shown new foods, visited his family compound and had some details about Bali households explained, walked through rice fields and vegie gardens, picked fresh vegies and created many delicious dishes.

Fortunately was able to grab a private class the night before—one of the most memorable food experiences I've ever had. Jero started his cooking school because he was tired of seeing all the modern, very tourist-y cooking classes through South Bali and Ubud at hotels/restaurants that didn't provide an authentic experience. He nailed his goal. Pickup was on-time, the market... More

After a week in Bali, I would say this was the most memorable experience. The food, the culture, the scenery, it was absolutely brilliant. Could not recommend enough!

We love going to cooking classes, but this one was very different. It was a cultural experience, meeting with people at their home and going out there to there paddocks in the middle of the rice fields. Jero showed and explained to us the plants and roots we were going to use in our cooking. We also met his cow... More

We spent an amazing day at Jero's home learning to cook a Balinese vegetarian feast. The tour started with a trip to the market where we saw, touched and smelled many of the foreign ingredients. He then drove us to his family home and farm and as we toured the rice paddy field and his extensive gardens, we also gathered... More

If you love good, healthy food and would like a hands on lesson in how to prepare such food, look no further. We were a group of yogis who wanted a first hand experience in how to cook some of the delicious food we were being served while in Bali and we all left feeling uplifted from a very precious...
