An outstanding culinary experience in how to cook authentic Balinese food

If you love good, healthy food and would like a hands on lesson in how to prepare such food, look no further. We were a group of yogis who wanted a first hand experience in how to cook some of the delicious food we were being served while in Bali and we all left feeling uplifted from a very precious... I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day with Jero, his mastery of English is quite sound. From going through the market to see what the produce would look like in a market setting through to harvesting the ingredients from the field and then preparing everything from scratch. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who's got a passing interest in food and... More

This was a highlight of our trip to Bali. Jero collected us from our accommodation in Ubud and our first stop was the markets at Sideman. This was quite a different experience to the markets at Ubud - (no one tried to pressure us to buy anything) and Jero explained the different items that were for sale. After arriving at... More

We had a wonderful time at the Green Kitchen Bali cooking class. We were picked up from our villa promptly (in Canggu) and driven up to KlangKang market (amazing!) and on to our host's home. It was really great to see how the Balinese live in the villages (instead of sticking to the tourist route) and everyone was so kind... More

I was looking to cook specific recipes and wanted a hands on, all inclusive cooking experience which was more than what the hotels offered in house. This class is based in rural Sidemen in a Community Village and we were collected from our hotel and driven directly to Klungkung Markets to walk through Bali's second biggest food market which locals... The best cooking course and Bali experience we've had. First a visit to the wonderful market and after that collecting your own vegetables for the course. Not only did we lewen learn to cook delicious Balinese dishes, we've also got a glimpse on Bali's beautiful rural life.

Haven't time to write a thorough review, but suffice is to say this has been one of the highlights of my trip. I saw a local Balinese market, walked through rice fields with INCREDIBLE views that my photos couldn't possibly do justice, picked vegetables from the organic vegetable garden, then learned about and cooked the most amazing food that I've... This day was a highlight of our trip. We were picked up from our accommodation and taken to the second largest market in Bali.We walked through the market with our guide. I must say this part was probably the least exciting as we didn't buy anything at the market or foods weren't explained to us... we just walked through it.... More
