Good experience to have if you have never had tasted this coffee. Awesome aroma and drink but too expensive for me. For $35 (AUD) we tried a range of flavoured coffee, Fried banana and a small cup of Luwak coffee each. The place is located in a typical Balinese house

Ok to visit and understand how Luwak coffee is made. The staff there are not very friendly until you start to purchase their products.

They do offer free trial of the various types of coffee and teas.

Ok to try them (free), advise is to not purchase from them directly as the same products can be found in supermarkets at less than half the price.

Here you get to experience the most expensive Luwak coffee and more varieties.
You also get to see the animal itself. Try googling what Luwak coffee is all about ;)
You can do a taste testing menu of all the coffees available.
Overall it was a unique experience and can be fit into your itinerary for a relaxed downtime day in between the hectic ones in Bali

My girlfriend and I were driving to our villa from a day trip in Denpasar, and a man driving next to us began asking if we would like to come have coffee and tea at his plantation. We repeatedly said no; and he would not accept our answer until we said yes. We followed him to this location, where the luwak's were in cages, looked unhealthy, and were not in good conditions. They provide tea and coffee samples for free, however when you buy those same products from their gift shop, it is not anything close to the samples. They are much worse. They only had two coffee trees, and they do not source their beans from their trees, or even in Bali. The location seems beautiful, but that is the only positive of this plantation. The workers also had an aggressive attitude towards Muslims and muslim areas in Indonesia, and went out of their way to tell us about it, unprompted. I do NOT recommend coming here, unless you want to be scammed or just have a poor conscience.

Was driving home and a guy stopped us to rope us into going here. We kept telling him no but he wasn’t taking no for an answer. We eventually go with him to this place where animals are kept in bad conditions and the tea and coffee they sell in the gift shop is fake and a scam (not the coffee and tea you taste) The workers there said mean things about muslims as well (just because i asked them about how they liked living in bali they took that as an invitation to start talking badly about muslims and the muslim areas of indonesia) I would recommend not going to this place i wish i didn’t give them my money. my heart hurts and is full of regret. Also it is not a plantation the coffee isn’t even grown in bali…

Heading to Luwak coffee was good for me as I'd heard about Civet's and processing coffee beans and wanted to know the process and animal welfare. I was pleased to be able to ask these questions and understand the process.
What surprised me was the free sample of tea and coffee and the information which went with each sample.
I'd recommend a visit.
Our driver Kadek is highly recommeded as he took us to brilliant places and we used the phrase - 'trust the driver' as Kadek was spot on with every choice. See photo for his details.

Do your research (we didn’t) and then think about it.
We went to 3 of these coffee places as they happened to be on various tours.
Same set up - Luwak sleeping and in cages. Who knows if they were actually real or stuffed animals.
There was then 2 or 3 coffee bean tress - suspicous
We were told they made all their own coffee - Hhmm not enough tress or coffee beans for this.
We refused to buy the coffee in the shop each time and staff and the drivers (who are on a back gander) became very rude.
All smiles and chatting u til you say you aren’t buying the products.

Tourist trap that funnels you through the shop with high pressure sales. After buying a couple of bags of expensive coffee, opened it to find mostly sugar and dust in the bag.

Complete rip off, plenty of other amazing sites on this wonderful Island. Avoid at all costs.

Dropped in here as part of a tour and loved the walk through the informative path with guide pointing out and explaining about the types of coffee beans they grew.
Then was shown the process to grind to powder which is still by hand. Then onto tasting all the varieties of coffee a great experience and loved our guide.

We had a tour of the plantation which shows you all the plants, fruit, vegetables, or condiments they have to offer. At the end of the tour, we had a tasting of the coffee and teas which they have also to sell in the gift shop.

We also tried the most expensive coffee ever, can't say I was impressed with the taste or quality of it but it was a once in a life experience.

At the end, we've made sure to purchase teas from them and tipped the tour guide Wayan since he was very nice, polite, and knowledgeable.

It was a great experience as part of our honeymoon! We recommend this experience for small groups and families!
