Its wonderful to view how the thread being designed and then threaded into a cloth. Also you can see how designed are made on cloth . The prices are way costly to buy but good place to visit.

Our tour manager, Ketut Sunantara (see Facebook) brought us to this retail outlet after our request to buy local Batik. Adjacent to the parking lot we viewed the weaving, designing and decorating of these beautiful fabrics. It was very interesting and gave us an appreciation of how much effort goes into each piece. We were even invited into the family compound to see how a typical Balinese family lives with several generations sharing the area.
The retail store was well laid-out with specific areas for apparel, yardage, wall art and other souvenirs. The prices were very competitive with designs that we do not see at home.

It was well worth the stop for the learning and the shopping.

I found the work that the team were doing very interesting. I did not realise the process was so demanding. They work so diligently and very neat. I was able to purchase the mens sarong which I have used on a daily basis now that I know how to wear it. I was grateful for the guide taking us to the factory. The weaving was very intense. If you like art you will appreciate the standard of work.

Came here as part of an excursion from our cruise ship. 8 coaches descended on this place at once, so it was virtually impossible to see the demonstrations. The things they were creating were very beautiful but not to our tastes. In reality, its a shop with a poor demonstration area.

We were literally tricked by these people from the get go. We were meant to go to a Batik class and upon arrival they pretended that my name was on the list. Pushed us towards the shop, charged us 2Mil, asked for AUD cash but because we didn’t have any they took another 150,000rp in cash. This place has people that are cunning, vile, rude and untrustworthy. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AMD MONEY!!!! STEER CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!

Traditional fabric designs using wax, dying and weaving. You really get an appreciation for what goes into the finished product.

This place has some lovely hand made batik, but they are very pushy to sell and won't just let you browse, we did buy a few things but we're both overcharged, as they asked for half cash half credit payment, which was fine, but on checking bank statements we had been charged the full price on our credits cards as well, as we had booked our driver thru our hotel, they sent him back and we were refunded the cash we had paid, but be wary, one mistake maybe, two, not so sure.

A great look at the Batik process with the ladies outside. Then a very extensive display and shopping experience inside. Lovely to support their craft.

Outside they have a demonstration of the process of producing Batik which is informative and interesting. Inside is a two story shop of batik fabric, accessories, clothing and wall hangings. The prices vary from very inexpensive to very costly, with the most expensive pieces displayed on the upper floor. We found both items for ourselves as well as some gifts to take back to family. Recommended spot for Batik.

We were shown how to make fabric and how weavers can make cloth with one ball of dyed yarn Brilliant work seen hand painted cloth and how it is made layer by layer.
Into the shop got Batik Shirt and other items for us and every other tourist you get a price and a reduction on your goods to make you feel better.
Go and see very interesting few hours.
