Our guide, Tommy, was extremely funny and the life of the party. We went in Sept so it was low tide but we still had so much fun thanks to him and the other friendly guides. Thank you Tommy and Bali River Rafting :) Last but not least, lunch was delicious!!!

Bali river rafting or white water-rafting is an activity that you must to do while on your Bali vacation. Grab your oars and get ready to rage with this exhilarating rafting adventure on the spectacular Ayung River or the Telaga Waja River. It’s an emotionally enhancing experience in the backdrop of wild unspoiled rainforest, towering gorges and magnificent rice paddy terraces. Telaga Waja rafting is suitable for beginners, children and even the elderly because of easy access to the river and minimal walking. Ayung river rafting is suitable for those of you who love sports / adventure and are up for a bit more of an adrenalin rush.

Telaga Waja River Rafting ... 2.5 hours shaking adrenaline adventure which started from Muncan Village and finished in Pakel Village (that's 5 km). It's a scenic & hyper rafting route ... spectacular waterfalls ... fun & great experience!

The customer service was organized & very efficient, but the water is just not high enough to enjoy the raft.

The name of the place itself was called Payung River Rafting. We rafted on Ayung River, and it was relatively mild I think. We rafted a 12 km route but it didn't feel that long. To me the duration felt just right.

Lunch was not bad, a little buffet thing. It was raining and we were worried we wouldn't be able to raft at all.

After a short car ride to the start point, we met our guide who said it would be fine to raft in the rain so we went with it. Turned out it was better with the rain! The water was murky but it was higher tide so the experience was more exciting.

Our guide, Badung (not sure of spelling) was excellent - really friendly and jokey with us, but emphasising safety as well. At some point one of us in the front fell in the water and it took too long for us to react to pull him up. But we were all fine in the end. Badung was very expert - he maneuvered us to retrieve our friend's paddle which had fallen in.

In addition to the above incident, we didn't paddle hard enough or react fast enough to his instructions in general. So Badung decided we would bypass a particularly difficult part where we would likely have gotten stuck, or fallen in and gotten stranded. We really appreciated him prioritising our safety. And in general he was just really capable and in control all the time. Could tell that he's very experienced.

On our way back up we took a rinse under some running water that was clean and drinkable! Amazing. We were the only group that did that, lead by Badung.

Getting to the river was a tough walk down steep, slippery, irregular stairs. With focus and caution one should be fine. The walk back up from the river was tiring, though the steps were less steep and fewer in number. After that was a walk along the roads to get back to the lunch place. They gave towels and we could shower if we wanted to.

Great experience overall. Would definitely recommend!

From my pickup to my delivery a river well worth running. The taksi (taxi) picks you up and brings you home. Staying with you all day, therefore you can leave things in the taxi if you do not want to get them wet and he will take care of them for you. The taxi man will meet you at the end of the float with whatever gear you may have left in his car.
The guides are very well trained and confident. Full of smiles, jokes, like crocodile as they splash their oar. The big drop over that waterfall OMG but no problem for the guides.
The water was not real high on the day I floated but still fun and full of moments to remember.
The young boys playing in the river, jumping in our boat, splashing us. A wonderful interaction with the locals.
The monkeys playing on the river was a great sight.
Doing the limbo, "river style," as we laid back to pass fallen trees.
The lunch just enough to take the edge off our hunger.
Loved it, loved it, loved it. Please always tip your guides. They work hard to keep you safe and they make it look so easy. It is not, especially when you know you are responsible for others safety.
The people you will meet are special people from all over the world. Sharing experiences of thrill bonds you.
I did the Telaga Waja river. The faster of the two rivers.

Expect to get very wet. This was a fun day out, about a 15km rafting with a halfway break. Very professional and safety conscious. Unfortunately at the end there is something like 300 steps to reach the restaurant where lunch was provided and where the drivers are waiting.

Highlight of our trip. We did the rafting down the Ayung river and we loved it so much it was the most amazing experience. I highly recommend it. It was a beginners river class 2. The scenery was breathtaking and the experience a rush.

The trip takes about 1.5 hrs down the Ayung river and your professional guide will help drive the raft and give you local information about the surroundings. Cost about $79US per adult. Children can do it from age 7 but I don't think my 9yo would have like it.

WARNING... when starting you have to walk down a steep 500 steps to get to the bottom where your rafts wait. and after finish you have to climb 300 steps back up! so if your not fit maybe don't try it;-)

It took about 2hr drive from Kuta to the start of the river although they only say 1.5hr drive. the river is so beautiful and many locals live near by and come down to bath so it's kinda an ''M'' rated trip ;-P Definitely worth doing again!! I didn't take my camera for fear of getting wet but you are given a dry bag to keep your belongings in. Food is provided after.

I was amazed to watch 1 woman carry the 70kg Raft (after it was deflated) on her head up the 300 steps 4 times per day! So if you think your strong and fit try doing that!!
