We spent 10 nights and 11 days on board ScubaSpa ZEN in Raja Ampat, and it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Dom (the manager and man in charge) is an exceptional host. Not only is he super knowledgable but he runs a 'tight ship' and everything is expertly organized and perfectly executed. From the moment we boarded, the staff were warm, welcoming and super attentive, and the atmosphere was the perfect blend of luxury and adventure.
The boat is a beautiful wooden masterpiece built in 2012 and it is spacious and perfectly maintained. We stayed in the Manta Suite, which was definitely worth the extra cost as it has a massive private deck at the back of the boat, where we could enjoy uninterrupted views and relax between activities. It felt like having our own private spot to take it all in.
As non-divers, Dom and his team made arrangements for us to go snorkeling in the same areas when the rest of the guests were diving. They would take us out on their Zodiac with a snorkeling guide and the Zodiac would wait for us and pick us up whenever we were done to take us back to the ZEN. The snorkeling was incredible. The reefs are vibrant, packed with marine life and colorful coral – it was like being in a giant aquarium. Dom and our guide (Jeklin) were top-notch, making sure everything was safe and giving us tips to make the most of each snorkeling site.
Beyond the water, the spa onboard is also wonderful. Our package included 2 hours of massage per day, and with the sound of the ocean in the background and excellent massage therapists, it was perfect after a day out on the water.
The meals on-board were also a real highlight, every dish was delicious, varied expertly prepared, fresh, and packed with flavor. The chefs also accommodated all our requests without skipping a beat. I celebrated my birthday on the boat on the second day and they even arranged a private dinner on the upper deck with a cake and some of the crew came out to sing Happy Birthday! Super special.
The land excursions took the experience up a notch. We hiked through beautiful landscapes, swam in an incredible jellyfish lake, and even had a beach BBQ that felt like something out of a travel magazine. These trips were all expertly organized. To top it off, they even brought out an inflatable slide on the second last day which sent you off the top deck into the ocean below, which was great fun.
Even if you’re not diving, ScubaSpa ZEN delivers an unforgettable trip. The mix of great snorkeling, luxury accommodations, and well-planned excursions makes it worth every cent. There is a reason ScubaSpa ZEN has only 5 star reviews, Dom and his amazing team are brilliant and I can't recommend the trip enough, you wont regret a moment.
Final note: The flight to Sorong arrives very early in the morning on the first day, but they meet you at the airport and transfer you directly to the boat and you can relax in your cabin until the boat leaves at 12pm, so no need to worry about arriving too early.

Wow. This truly was a trip of a lifetime. We typically go on liveaboards that are a third to half the price of Scubaspa but I wanted to experience what the hype was about. Every diver we met on our trip was absolutely blown away and said it was worth every penny and we have to agree. Every single detail was taken care of, every single wonderful touch you ever thought you’d enjoy about a trip is already done. The boat is beautiful. It’s clear every dive site and timing is planned out for the optimal experience. Safety is top notch. This is a trip I’ll look back on my death bed and be one of the memories in my life I’m so happy to have experienced. It was truly that good. To the owner of Scubaspa, I hope you truly realize the gem you have in Dom. It is clear he makes all of it happen. The crew is amazing and the culture created is exceptional. Dom is organized, detailed, and is a master at what he does. Again wow, best trip ever!

We have just returned from a fantastic second trip aboard ScubaSpa Zen. This year we did an 11 days around Komodo National Park and I can’t be more happy with the experience. We previously did Raja Ampat aboard Zen and thought the experience was remarkable. Now I see it is always a remarkable experience. The diving was great, the crew is very kind and helpful, dhoni makes very simple to be in and out of the water without hassle and we appreciate the focus on safety and care for the customers. Big appreciation specially to Dom, the very professional cruise director that knows very well how to pay attention to details and customer needs while caring for all the crew and organizing the best cruise to enjoy. Thank you for drawing lifelong memories for us. Hope to see you again in the future.

The boat is extremely comfortable, Dom and the crew are exceptional hosts who anticipated our every. need. The clear waters and beautiful colourful healthy reefs are teaming with life - mantas and frog fish and loads of rare beasties for the macro photos like boxer crabs and Pygmy seahorses. We ate well and the massages were great in a tranquil spa overlooking the water. I highly recommend this trip as a way to totally switch off and have everything done for you.

I had a dream experience. Dom the manager of la.croisere is amazing!!! He is a professional, caring listener and always cheerful. And what can we also say about the whole team which is perfect. Thanks to my Dive Master Moise for his patience.

I've spent quite a bit of time of Liveaboards in Indonesia. ScubaSpa Zen is by far the best! It is the first time that every aspect of the experience has been above and beyond of what I could dream of.
I could rave about every detail, but here are a few things that set them apart from others.
The Diving- expertly crafted itinerary of the most unforgettable sites. We arrived at all of them with near to no one else around. The separate fully equipped dive boat, made a huge difference in comfort level getting to each. Dive sites were sometimes challenging, but appropriate for the group, which gave us opportunities to see big aquatic life. (Black Marlin!!!). I felt safe and watched after the entire time.
The Boat- there is no comparison. Super spacious. Lots of lounge areas. Cabins you can move around in. Comfortable mattresses and luxurious bedding.
Food and Beverage- I don't normally point out the beverages, but Yoga was our man during the trip. He kept the coffee machine running. Legit espresso and cappucino. Oh, and the buttery baby croissants in the morning! Food was fresh, well prepared and menu was creative. Again, a true stand out feature.
The Spa: This was truly genius. I usually have to choose between my 2 loves when it comes to vacations; diving or relaxing spa retreats. I was in heaven. Very skilled staff with a kind touch.Try the Balinese massage or Sports Massage. They are divine.
Thank you Scubaspa Zen for an unforgettable trip through Komodo. Look forward to more adventures together!

Scuba spa zen is the most beautifully built boat, an absolute state of the art decor with all the amenities - it was such a pleasure to join them in Komodo for a 7 day trip back in August! It was a great experience from the beginning when I was met by one of the Zen staff at a hotel I stayed and transported straight to a boat and greeted by everyone - so friendly until the very end. I obviously didn’t want to leave as it was being run with absolute perfection! Having been a repeater (13 times!) from SS Maldives, naturally it was difficult not to expect the best hahaha - and I have to say that I received the absolute best during my time there. My sea start cabin was a 5 star experience! The food, people and of course the diving, Komodo dragons experience (!!!!), massages at the spa on the top deck were out of this world. I loved it so much that I’ve decided to go back end of January 2023 for the Raja Ampat 10 day trip!!! If you are looking for luxurious 5 star diving or snorkelling experience or even if you don’t dive and just want to have beautiful trip and relaxing massages, great food and wine, this is the place to be!

What an amazing experience with the the crew, the ship master Dominic, rooms, food, diving etc.
We are experienced divers and travellers and I must. say that, not only did we get superior service and help with everything on the ship, the dive boat and underwater. When I mean everything, its from help getting your dive fins on, your BCD, a hand in need, advice etc. and it all came so naturally from all of them, everywhere and all the time.
Thanks especially to Dominic, who were leading by example and did his best make this 11 day trip to Raja Ampat the best diving experience of the all 400+ dives I have done.
We will be back to Scubaspa ZEN again.

I just got back from a dream vacation with my family. Despite not being a diver I decided to I gave it a go! and found it to be the most amazing experience. The diving staff were so professional and made me feel absolutely safe. Spa treatments on Zen are to die for...pure nirvana. I was so surprised with all the other activities that the fantastic staff of Zen provided. It truly was one of the most stylish and luxurious vacation we ever had! We are already booked for the next cruise. Thank you again to all fabulous Zen staff for making our vacation so special. xo

It truly is hard to articulate and put into words how spectacular this experience was, and or even where to begin with this review. What I can say, is that this trip far exceeded my expectations, from Dom, The Diving, The Food, and every one of the staff that bent over backwards to make the trip special. And the separate Dive boat, which was supported by several staff, made this the most special dive experience I have ever had. I cannot recommend Scubaspa ZEN enough, and cannot remember the last time I felt so pampered and taken care of as I did on this trip. Thank you too Lukas, Dom, & All of the amazing Team Members of ZEN!
