Didn't do ride but mini zoo very poor

My older children were going rafting so decided to take my youngest to the mini zoo to pet the elephants and hold a monkey. I paid 400,000 for looking at a couple of monkeys in a... read more

Unexpected to see elephants free in nature. You can ride but with local man, all elephants are young, until 25 years, from Sumatra.

We were very optimistic about visiting elephants in bali as we didn't want to encourage animal cruelty and honestly didn't want to witness it. But this place was very good. They are in the process of extending and hopefully they won't become to commercial. The treatment to the animals was really nice, none of them looked distraught or upset. The... More

We had a wonderful experience. The village and staff work hard to maintain a close relationship with the animals and especially the elephants. Very caring.

Me and my partner recently went on a rafting trip which was very good fun and a nice day out. We paid around £20 for the day with driver and food included. On the way home the driver mentioned would we like to see the elephants and the monkeys at a local park. When we arrived we went to the... More

We spent a lovely morning on the water rafting then on the way back to our hotel we stopped off at the elephant tour. When we arrived there didn't seem to be any tourists but it was the afternoon so over looked it. After paying a ridiculous amount of money(400.000 rup for 2 people) we were just pointed in the... My older children were going rafting so decided to take my youngest to the mini zoo to pet the elephants and hold a monkey. I paid 400,000 for looking at a couple of monkeys in a cage, couple of snakes, couple of sloths and have a photo next to an elephant. It was very sad to see these animals and... More

This is a little park in the forest. They don,t have too many animals. First they show us some monkies and snakes in cages. It is a little bit sad, I don,t like animals in cage. They have as I see 6 or 7 elephants. Every day one of them take relax, so thay work 6 days a week. The... More

We had booked a driver for one day, who showed us many sights close to Ubud. We were also interested in seeing some elephants. Somehow our driver wanted us to visit especially the Bakas adventure park and not Taro park or others. We had to pay 300$ for 3 adults and 2 children. When entering this asphalted area, we saw... If anyone interested just for elephant ride, perhaps they should consider safari. Traveling a long journey for such a small park with this rate may not be a good idea.

Our family enjoyed the 30min elephant ride. The animals were cared for by handlers who had good English and were happy to answer our questions and explain about the elephants. You could take your own photos, our buy their photos. At the end of the ride elephants were lead into a pond with riders on their backs, riders did not... More
