Great hike for a day trip

Jabarkhet Natural Reserve is a private natural reserve close to Landour. It's a beautiful hike with multiple trail options which will suit people with varying fitness levels. We spent an entire day just walking around different trails in the forest and it was truly amazing. Try and take the more difficult trails for the best views of the snow capped Himalayan mountains.

Don't miss this at any cost!!

We started with tea at a little haat , bought some amazing souvenirs there. We then proceeded on our trek with Vipul, our amazing guide who had great knowledge of the reserve and its rich flora and fauna. He made sure we didn't miss a single sight and took us right up to flag hill where we saw the most mesmerizing views of snow capped peaks. Vipul made it a memorable experience for us. The reserve is very well maintained and a hidden treasure of Mussourie! This was the highlight of our holiday for sure.

Be rewarded with stunning views over the Dehradrun valley and into the high Himalayas. Well maintained private wildlife reserve, with well informed guides or follow one of trails on your own.

View of The Himalayas from this beautiful wooded park.
Apr 2019 • Friends
There are amazing views in this beautiful wooded park in including The Himalayas.
There is also a very special viewpoint called Flag Hill which is adorned with Tibetan flags and where you make a wish or blessing.
Wear hiking boots. Although the trail is not too tough there are stones underfoot & you need to have a good grip.
Definitely go with a guide. Ours brought binoculars and pointed out some of the rare birds & showed us footage from the hidden cameras that showed a leopard in the same spot as we were only hours before!

Reserve well deserved

We cancelled out on another plan and decided to go here just as not to waste our day. Vipul our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the various flora and fauna available. Add to it the lovely views, just ensure you get along a good pair of hiking shoes.
