Excellent museum for Uttarakhand & Trans-Himalayan Art & Culture
Apr 2021 • Solo
Excellent private museum established by a lovely artistic couple and showcasing the art & culture of Uttarakhand state as also the trans Himalayan region. The collection spans through paintings, murals, sculptures, precious stones, herbal plants, traditional jewelery, handicrafts, rare photographs, etc.

Must visit while you are in Mussorie or Dehradun. Recommended.

This museum is very artistic and inspiring. Best place to get souvenirs. Definitely a place to see as each and every part of it has its own story and most importantly the owners themselves are the artist behind these sculptures. Not to avoid their warm hospitality. Definitely a place to visit!

The best Museum one could visit.

I've been to Mussoorie many times and so far this place had to be my favourite in Mussoorie. The hosts are extremely sweet and welcoming. This place offers a view into the rich culture and heritage of Uttarakhand. The most beautiful thing about this place is, all the beautiful paintings and sculptures are made by the hosts themselves. The little cafe situated inside the museum, gives a beautiful view of Dehradun city. Every bit of this museum is done and decorated by the hosts. One should definitely visit this place, the rich flora and fauna all adds to the beauty of the museum. It was a great experience at this wonderful place. Looking forward to visit the museum once again.

The Vibe of SOHAM
Jan 2021 • Friends
It was my 2nd visit to SOHAM Himalayan Centre and it is never enough. It feels like life, evolving every time. A well maintained space by Mr. Sameer Shukla and Mrs. Kavita Shukla, it includes clearly everything that one need to know about the himalayan culture. The unlimited knowledge preserved and presented so neatly and artisticaly that one gets attracted to experience it all at once.

Just as spectacular as this place is, the people are all the more gracious, humble & generous. Their body of work is beyond textual or verbal explanation, it would be an injustice to describe it verbally or anyhow at all; if people don't visit the place, they are rather losing the fortune of witnessing the excellence in art, craft, conservation & preservation of historic & cultural artifacts of the area, and promotion of the local skills & talents.

This place is a must-visit if you are near Mussoorie! Plan to visit during the morning time.. that way you have ample amount of time to soak in the grace and beauty of it. And can visit nearby waterfalls by noon.. If you get a chance Do have a talk with Sameer Sir and Ma'am. They have got some exciting and inspiring stories about many many beautiful Himalayan artifacts, life experiences, and spirituality! for me it was a really humbling experience and I really got to learn that how important it is to restore the Himalayan culture and traditions that we have!
Awesome Place!

Looking for some unique place, away from city's huzz buzz life? Do visit Soham Himalayan Centre if you love experiencing the amalgamation of heritage, culture, tradition, spiritualism (pushing away the political boundaries) under one roof. This place will definately gives you a goosebumps once Mr. Sameer describe it's origin of existance. Words are very little to explain the authencity of this place. Live example of dedication, perseverance & commitment. Don't miss your opportunity to see & "FEEL" this place if you're in Mussorrie. Trust me !! You will feel blessed. Best wishes & Love always ❤❤
