A beautiful Buddhist temple at the foothills of Dalai hills. Went to the hills first and then to this temple. A peaceful place to enjoy. Prayer bells are all around to welcome.
A must visit place in mussoorie.

I always love going to the Buddhist temples. The Shedup Choepelling Temple too offers absolute peace. The monks with divinity on their faces roam in their orange robes. You can sit here for a while and lose yourself in the lap of nature.

Shedup Choepelling Temple popularly known as Buddha Temple is the place of worship for Tibetan Buddhist. This place is approximately 3 kilometers from Library Chowk, Massoorie and situated at Happy Valley. His Holiness Dalai Lama took refuge here initially. The temple is comparatively smaller but very beautiful. When you enter the temple you tend to go towards right but you have to go straight and revolve 45 Kal Chakras (Prayer Wheels). You can also see a tree planted by His Holiness Dalai Lama. There is a beautiful idol of Lord Buddha and a painting of H.H. Dalai Lama inside the main temple. There is a Stupa and another small temple inside the temple complex. You can see a beautiful view of valley from the temple complex. This is a must visit place, highly recommended.

It's a quiet place, perfect for meditation. The devotees paint the temple themselves and it's a great experince seeing how much they love their god.

I had been there last month and I found like I was at the most peaceful and beautiful place. The way to the temple is very steep one has to be very careful in driving there in not much parking space so please see the parking space before entering the gate then its very difficult to turn back. After parking the vehicle the entrance to the temple is clean. In the temple the monk is there either meditating or writing his scripts you can sit for some time in the temple and then come out and see the beautiful mountains and the monestry the Buddhist people living near has their village. One can stay there in the monestry. It was awesome to visit.
