Nice place, well-maintained by Govt. authorities. Outside the entrance gate some good number of hotels, shops and stalls are available. The shops sell books and idols of Krishna. The stalls serve peda, lassi, and other sweets.

This Temple is on the same place Where Lord Krishna was born 5500 years ago. You will admire the architecture and ambiance of this attraction. After paying your respects, you can meditate and feel blessed.

We traveled from Delhi by Car via Agra expressway. the moment we entered Mathura , we saw people flashing their hands to stop . Curious , we stopped and came to know that he will guide to all temples in mathura and gokul , take us to parking lots which otherwise is not accessible, etc , all for only Rs100. We avoided them initially. Unfortunately , the 2 of the 3 possible routes shown by google maps has been closed for cars , so we decided to take the guide service. he boarded our car and took us to Janmasthan. The route was the 3rd one shown by google maps ( after exit, go via hathras mathura road, take left towards bhuteshwar chowk/agra road (and not right towards dwarkadeesh temple) ,then to mathura vrindavan marg, take small left turn when you are near kali mandir, goes via narrow roads. Parking was easy . Temple has been improved, it is more cleaner and organised. huge hall for prayer and take us to actual janmasthan. spend max possible time here . If you have guide , he will try to rush you up saying that gokul temple will close.
Since we had taken the guide , he took us to gokul - some 15 kms away . He will tell u stories on significance , how that is the most important temple to visit , you can sit and do palki, etc etc . Fortunately , we saw some trip advisor reviews on the way and came to know that temple is known for forced donation and that is what happened. they will persuade a lot for you for donation , saying family ,etc - but we said NO and we were indirectly asked us to go back without full darshan. So beware .
Our suggestion - visit Janmasthan , Dwarkadeesh temple , Vishram Ghat in Mathura ( for boat ride), Vrindavan temples - Prem mandir, bakhe bihari , iskon, etc . rest all are optional - gokul, govardhan, etc

Sri krishna was born at Mathura, when i visited this place it was so nice and beautiful to watch all the session of lord Krishna where he was born and kept in prison, the big temple on the up stairs was a big hall and the idols has been kept on the wall the stories was mention through pictures.Camera was not allowed to take picture.
Tips- Deposit your valuable in cloak room with charge of Rs.10/- for each thing,so its better if you gone self drive then keep things inside your car. Unauthorized parking men available to harass the tourist.

its a must visit place for all hindus, its takes 2-3 hours to see the temple and the main god idols are really beautiful..
Only drawback is there is too much strict security and the military people really act strict on everyone.
no cigeraates, tobacco, blade, mobile, electronic item, ear phone, pen drive, camera, weapon, etc. ...

otherwise its a beautiful and divine expirience.
