A well visited temple with a nice ancient architecture and aurora. Historic and full of heritage information on Lord Krishna's birth and adventures. Very crowded on special days of Hindu festivals.

The prison room gives you shivers considering the number of years that were spend by Lord Krishna's parents. Just unimaginable of the sufferings the couple must have endured. The cave visit nearby was also quite nice however, the authorities should change the background music, it was scary and not in line with the statues inside.

Took time off to go from Agra to Mathura. What a place... Dirty, people spitting everywhere and loot going on in the name of religion. This place is infested with touts who camouflage themselves as good Samaritans wanting to help you. Don't talk to them lest you will end up in a mess. Unless if you are highly relegious and... More

One of the most secured and action packed temples-the Mathura Krishna Janma Bhoomi is well spread out and rather not so much mismanaged as few religious places are in India. The shops selling souvenirs gets you the feeling that this place is birthplace of Lord Krishna whose childhood had unlimited stories of child like activities. Innocent ,naughty, captivating and fascinating. There... More

I had reached Mathura on the afternoon of 16th and just after Checking into the hotel freshed up and went to the temple. One of the oldest temples. The old delepelated temple was reconstructed by the Birlas by collecting funds from like minded people in the mid 80s
