Nice place, clean and tidy premises unlike other mandirs at Mathura. However, lacks the ancient feeling which I expected to get. A must-see place during your visit at Mathura.

It is on the way from Delhi to Agra, so If you plan to see Agra on the same day, it will be a rush....there is nothing to see here in the temple for more than 1-2 hours, so if you start early around 6-7 from Delhi, you can do both this temple and Taj Mahal. The road to this... More

The place is beautiful around 15 to 20 minutes from national highway from Delhi to Agra. There is a cloak room situated on both sides of the temple. It has both Hindu and Mughal architecture . It was multiple times destroyed and re built. Whatever remains is due to re construction by Raja Vijay Pal. The place contains the prison cell... More

Roof / Dome looks like mosque, may be later years construction. Room / Hall has a box like arrangement to show the actual place of Krishna's birth place. Walk from Gate No3 is around 200 Meters. Less commercialized place makes it really worth. Tight Security arrangements (Camera, Hand bags, mobile, Other electronic gadgets not allowed). Cloak Room available to keep... More

This is the birth place of Lord Krishna. There is a symbolic place where Lord Krishna was born. A mosque abuts it. This temple has been built three times and destroyed that many times by Islamic invaders. It's open from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm. Ignore the touts who tell you the place is closed in the afternoon. No phones,... More

Krishna Janma Bhoomi Mandir is the temple where it is believed that Hindu God, Lord Krishna was born. It is a very nice temple to visit in Mathura. There is a “Karagar” (a prison cell) of Kansa, where the parents of Lord Krishna were kept and Lord Krishna was born. Being the birth place of Lord Krishna, the security of... More
