I just finished the kasmir great lakes trek with himalayan shelter. It was an amazing experience, unforgettable with breathtaking views which words cannot describe enough. The pictures do not pass the feelings and the connection with nature. All the credits go to our lead guide Subodh who is the best for the job.He made all the difference as his professionalism and experience along with his care, kindnes and his attention about everything and everybody in our team at all times was remarkable. Our supporting guides Nitin and Mukesh were also excellent....very helpful for everyone especially in difficult parts during raining and muddy walks. The great connection and communication of Subodh with his team was evident and they all came out as a great team supporting us in every step.  All incredibly helpfull taking care of everything and being where they should whenever needed in our help. Not to mention that they all are also very fun and kind and made the trek an enjoyable experience. They would everyday pick the best spots for camping to give us some privacy and the best views of the mountains from our tents. Our local guide, Muktar was also really good knowing well the trail. The cook (chacha) was also incredible spicing up our dinners and not only. It was a genuine introduction to indian cuisine on the mountains. We have been fed all the time snacks and dinners and everything.
I had an amazing time and really enjoyed this trek a lot. Thank you Himalayan Shelter and specifically thank you Subodh for making this trek in the heaven of India such an amazing memorable experience.
I would definitely recommend this company if you are treking in India and make sure you ask for Subodh as your lead guide and for Mukesh and Nitin to be in the team.  We were a group of 9 and the company tried to accomodate all our requests and tailored the trek to our needs which was great. I have been trekking in different countries and have experienced several level of services around the globe. Himalayan Shelter was positive one for sure.

I had a great time in sankri with Himalayan Shelter and Jyoti, it was my first trek and was worried since i was suffering with Acrophobia(intense fear of heights).

There were 37 of us on the Kedarkantha trek, led by "Jyoti Singh," who was like an Angel to me, the way she handled the team was phenomenal, in the group I and one other person had the same issue, a fear of heights, and she handled it superbly.

The last day of the trek started at 3:00 am in the morning, and around 5.30 am I was on the verge of giving up the trek due to height fear, and at one point it felt like I would have fallen. I was suffering from anxiety, and I was breathing heavily until my angel "Jyo" came to hold my hand and helped me to pass all hurdles and to reach the summit to see the beautiful sunrise.

The Himalayan shelter provided excellent food during the trek.

Jyo, I will cherish these moments for the rest of my life. Without you, I would never have reached the Kedarkantha summit.

Thank you for everything and I miss you. Thanks are not enough.

Love you jyo ❤️.

My very first trek to Kedarkantha was absolutely beautiful and magical. We enjoyed it a lot and came back with a lot of memories to cherish. Our trek would be impossible if not for the helping hands and encouragement showered by our trek guides Mukesh bhai and Rocky bhai. They constantly made sure everyone was on a smooth trail no matter what and also made necessary adjustments in the itinerary at our ease of travel. The overall trek and arrangements were truly amazing! Grateful to the entire team of the Himalaya Shelter for turning our first trek far better than we thought it would be. Can't wait to book another trek with Himalaya Shelters.

This year, my wife and I planned to do something new and adventurous for our 3rd marriage anniversary, instead of staying home or visiting some old restaurant. We decided to go for a Trek.
Reccy tours was the one who introduced me with Himalaya Shelter's 6 day package trek, and I just had to made the booking, then everything was a smooth ride. HS took care of everything since getting on the tempo from Dehradun till returning back the same way. Every need (made sure the basics - this was an adventure camp, not luxury tour) was taken by the HS team (Bachchan Rana, the boss at Sankri was so humble and informative).
Most importantly we had a great group of 42, lead by the awesome (but strict) trek leader Sourabh ji and assisted by Ramesh bhai (who was super friendly & helpful). Thanks to both who guided us to the every possible weather we got (snowfall, snowstorm, rain and hailstorm) and made the summit happen, but a day earlier (thanks to Sourabh ji again for is knowledge and quick thinking as the weather was only getting worse).
Overall an awareness, adventurous but hard trek.
Gathered a lot of experience and knowledge about trekking.

We went on the KGL Trek. Tour guides Subodh, Nitin and Mukesh made every task look as easy as putting a cherry on a cake. There were a lot of challenges en route like rains and changing terrains but the 3 of them took care of each member in the group. The cook ‘chacha’ as we all called him prepared delicious food each day. He prepared a cake on the occasion of a team member’s birthday. They sat with us and talked like friends rather than our guides alone. We have been going for treks with Himalaya Shelter for a long time now and never thought of changing to any other trek group for they have always been as good in making everyone feel comfortable on a trek.
Thank you for everything

Har ki dun -
Entire trip was well organized. Due to weather conditions our trip was delayed, they were very transparent with the process and limitations.
Once we started part of the group couldn't keep up and decided to not finish the trek beyond half way. Even then our guide was very sure that those who want to complete should have the opportunity to do so. Hence him (Subodh) and I trekked 30+ km on a single day and went to har ki dun and back. He was able to estimate, plan everything in a way that rest of the group could retreat and he guided me alone to the valley and back to the group.
Even through all this, everything was well managed, meals were tasty and hot, which is a luxury during nights. A lot of flexibility was shown in accommodating different preferences, without compromising on the basics.
There may have been 2 occasions where I strayed from the path and he was able to spot within a min of that, shows how sharp and attentive he always was. Also my shoe soles came off which he mended at end of day! Couldn't have asked for more.

Me and my wife travelled with Himalaya Shelter in Oct; 2021.It was our first trek to har ki dun and was very apprehensive. However we were taken great care of by the team.everything was arranged perfectly from our pickup from dehradun to drop till mussourrie.the food arranged was awesome.everyday we were given 2-3 menus in breakfast as well as dinner along with soup; fruits; evening snacks etc and the menus were awesome. Our guide Shri Raghav ji was fantastic and take very good care of us. Also our cook Shri Chandramohan ji is the person u need when u are up there as his culinary skills are unparallelled. Having hot gulab jaman at har ki dun was awesome experience.
Thanx to the whole team including Bachan Rana; Raghav ji and Chandramohan ji for such great effort for making our trip successful. Everything was taken care off and I would highly recommend Himalaya shelter for any trek; specially for beginners as u can trust them blindly.

Always support local business and initiatives.
As a follower of this thought, I booked Bali pass trek with Himalaya Shelter.
Starting from the first conversation, the team of Himalaya Shelter was very considerate and flexible for our needs.
The trek cost was reasonable.
I felt safe, secure, well taken care during the entire trek.
The trek guide, the cook and porters were very soft spoken and caring.
Bachan Rana the trek guide is a very experienced guide, and especially on this route he knows every turn and corner. He understood our expectation of the itinerary and took all the decision proving right given the situation at hand, ensuring our safety and minimal effort. He was motivating his own staff all the way, and always been with one of the guest walking last.
The cook, Beeru was skilled and provided nutritious and tasty meals throughout the trek.

I would recommend Himalaya Shelter by my own experience.

I wish Himalaya Shelter all the best for their future.

1. Himalaya shelter is a marvelous organization with an expertise in trekking and mountaineering.
2. Their team is highly trained and skilled.
3. They customize the trip as per guest requirement
4. Trek leader Mr Subodh makes sincere efforts to acquaint the trekkers with flora, fauna and local customs. His patience and knowledge is of worth praise. He is a multi skilled personality and doesn't shy from sharing them.
5. The administrative arrangements made by Himalaya shelter in such terrain is a marvel in itself.
